"Would have rated it a 5 star but the bartender took my 20 dollar bill and gave me change for a 10. We argued back and forth for a bit and she finally gave me change for a 20. Don't trust her one bit."
"We were visiting from Tawas, and have been members for years. We like to pop in to the local FOE when traveling, and have always had great experiences. Unfortunately, we came on both Friday and Saturday, and both of the bartenders were rude. :( On Friday we got "in trouble" for sitting at a table for a couple beers because they had their fish fry going on and a waitress had asked us for our drinks. After the waitress left the bartender told us we had to come up and get our own drinks if we weren't ordering food, and that we needed to tell our waitress that. Eek! Sorry! We had fully intended to tip the waitress, and didn't know the protocol. We adjusted accordingly, but the bartender still seemed to be a little cold to us. Saturday evening we stopped by again to play a little Keno and have a couple of beers. My dad noticed the bartender was a little busy, so set his ticket on the counter and turned around to talk to us (table next to the bar). He just didn't want to rush her. The bartender got his attention when she was ready to cash it, and let's just say that the bartender made it very clear that she didn't appreciate him setting it there and "walking away." Really bummed my dad out. After that it wasn't just the drinks that were cold to us. ☹️ Hint taken! We're headed down to the bowling alley to bowl a couple games instead. I hope others don't experience the same. If only the bartenders were as friendly as the patrons we met."
"I was just a guest there. But it was a cute little place with friendly staff. And a whole lot of old veterans with lots and lots of stories not about war or suffering what about grandkids and family. And that's what made it a fun stop listening to old guys tell stories."
