About the Business

Environmental Interpretive Center

The Environmental Interpretive Center, located at 4901 Evergreen Road in Dearborn, Michigan, is a unique institution that serves as both a park and a zoo. The EIC building is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, while the Environmental Study Area is open from sunrise to sunset.

Visitors to the Environmental Interpretive Center can learn about and observe various wildlife species, including the curious coyotes that inhabit the area. Coyotes are known to live in families and primarily hunt small animals like squirrels and rabbits. The center also offers information on how humans and coyotes can peacefully coexist, with resources such as the Urban Coyote exhibit.

In addition to wildlife education, the Environmental Interpretive Center focuses on sustainability and creating a greener future. Campus educators work to promote environmental awareness and conservation efforts, while also engaging in traditions such as making Michigan maple syrup.
