"This place is dirty. Garbage overflowing everywhere. Pulled out sofa bed to find mouse droppings. Came here because of great experiences with other Americinns. I don’t know if the are other options in Ashland but I wish I had looked harder. Kids loved the pool but were bummed by limited water slide hours. View of the lake is fantastic"

"We as a family choose this Hotel due to the amenities and the pool and the water slides ! Well should you know the slides were shut down and the hot tub was closed we went to breakfast that they offer and all the hot food was gone and the person making the food was very unhappy with his job in all this place is a joke they definitely need to tell their guest that there main amenities are closed especially checking in with a family ! We drove 3 hours to stay here with my children for them to be disappointed!"

"It's a nice hotel. Nice pool area with a sauna and waterslides. Found the hotel itself to be a little dirty (found and empty chew cup in my room on the floor, spider webs on the lights and on our ceiling). The pet friendly rooms are awesome. Patio area with a door right out of your room to let your pet out. Definitely would stay again. Staff also let us use the main lobby area for our hockey team to do some holiday games. No complaints there."

"Starting with the positive, the breakfast room and staff were amazing, beautiful view of the lake, friendly staff and the typical breakfast you'd expect from an AmericInn. Now, the not so great. Upon getting into the room there were dirty towels in the bathroom and in the closet. The sheets on the pull out mattress were blood stained, and it looked fresh, not like a stain remaining after laundering. Before getting into the hot tub, I'd suggest you be current on all your vaccinations and just leave it at that. The pool was uncomfortably cold, even for the little ones. The entire property looks like it is stuck in 2010 and hasn't been touched since. The icing on the cake was when I asked the front desk staff on the night of 11/30 for two additional pillows. He then aggressively asked if I had the pet fee, then again aggressively asked if I paid the fee. I assume after getting the two pillows he was too exhausted to actually look up my account."

"Very pleased with room. Beautiful view of the lake. Bed very comfortable. Nice beach area for sitting and having beautiful view of the lighthouse. Friendly, helpful staff!! I would definitely stay here again. Hotel is pet friendly. My dog was very comfortable in room. Room was very clean."
