"Long story short. Don't go here unless you want your car to be there for days!! Even the day I suppose to pick up my car, they had me wait an extra hour because they wasn't done still! Didn't get the tires I wanted because supposedly they "lost" it in the warehouse. The guys there was nice but there's no excuse that it took 3 days just to put on some tires."

"The experience was great! They took me in without an appt. The wait time was longer than expected but Daniel Semrow the service manager was awesome!!! He was very apologetic, he blessed me with a free service due to the long wait time and explained the situation. The only reason I gave a 4 star vs a 5 star is only because I wish he would have explained the short staff prior to me coming in….BUT, due to his respectfulness, his courtesy , his big heart, and all that he did to show appreciation for my time I’m grateful!!!"

"Took my son's car here on Monday. I didn't stay, and didn't ask for a quick turnaround. I needed a four wheel alignment in a major way. We had just done the entire back suspension from the center cradle out including struts and everything you can possibly replace. We also changed front struts and sway bar links. I had put a set of front camber adjustment bolts in the front seat of the car. We didn't install those not knowing if they were needed. I told all of this to the person who checked the car in. He did tell me that if they needed the bolts there would be an extra charge to install, which I expected and it was fine with me. So here are the pleasant details. They were finished by the end of the work day. I couldn't pick up the car due to a prior commitments, so it was kept safe. They in fact did NOT use the front camber bolts because it didn't need them. They set the car up perfectly, and the price was less than quoted. Now I ask you. How many times do you get a lower price for a car repair than the original quote? They easily could have told me that they did need to use the camber bolts and just stuck them in to get a larger total price...BUT THEY DIDN'T. I was able to return those parts and lower the total cost of fixing this car. I can't say enough how extremely happy I am with the work, the honesty/integrity and the overall experience, but mostly the honesty/integrity. SUPERIOR job Sterling Heights Pep Boys you have made a new fan, and I WILL highly recommend your shop to anyone who asks."

"A pleasant surprise with work on all three of our vehicles. It all stemmed from an in-store cross-sell months ago while buying some oil and other stuff. So months later, brakes worn all over the place on our vehicles. I dreaded the thought of calling around to make an appointment a month out. So I called Pep to give them a try. Since then, we have worked with Dan and meet two mechanics working on our vehicles. The highlight was all brake jobs promptly completed. We really appreciate the service."

"My inexperience and some confusing communication led to a frustrating first experience. Tech was very nice but his presentation was off. UPDATE: I was contacted by Pep Boys Corporate. They couldn't have been nicer! They were interested in the specifics of what happened. Being that the associate was nice, I saw this as a teachable moment. Pep Boys have a process that they use to solve problems and teach other stores and associates from these types of interactions. I also got an email from the store manager regarding this incident with a promise to do what he could to "make it right". I'm very impressed they take their corporate culture seriously! We spoke on the phone at length today and I am totally satisfied. He listened to what I suggested and said how he could see what I suggested would benefit his customers and he and his fellow employees because it would be a more effective communication and save time. I will be going back to Pep Boys for further service due to how this issue was addressed."
