"I recently brought my mother's car in here to be cleaned as a birthday gift. The experience was not only horrid enough to leave a scathing review, but it was enough that I will be using this as my "you won't BELIEVE what happened to me" story during normal conversation for MONTHS to come. I was quoted $149 for a complete interior cleaning/detailing. I have seen places advertise this service for $99, so I was already wary of the price difference, but I was assured by the OWNER that they had "industrial/commercial grade" cleaners, which made them head-and-shoulders above the rest of the detailing shops. I ended up paying $223 total, which was bad enough, but overpaying isn't why I'm writing this. Upon arrival, the owner went out to the car with me to take a look and assess how long it would take. After all, it was a simple compact sedan, not any kind of "work truck" or anything that saw a lot of heavy abuse. I left it there before closing one night to give the entire next day to clean it. No problem. Near the end of the first day, I was called and told they would require time the next morning as well. Again, acceptable to me, as I wasn't in a rush and had an extra day off from work. The next day came, and I was called barely over an hour before closing (5pm) that it was ready. Upon inspection, there were a few areas that not only were not clean, THEY WERE NOT EVEN TOUCHED. I showed the owner's wife (the receptionist) who promptly wiped off a finger-full of dirt from the driver's seat plastic trim. She called out to one of the workers to come over and clean it up. We waited ~15 minutes while he cleaned up a few spots he could see were not cleaned. We went home. My mother and I then started inspecting more closely, and found MANY areas that were not cleaned. The carpets and cloth was mostly done, but surface after surface, inside and out, were ignored completely. Pockets full of wet gunk in the seats, whole doors UNTOUCHED by any sort of cleaning product... You can take a whole roll of paper towels and collect dirt that they ignored. Things that just come up without needing any kind of soap or water! Sticker residue on the windshield, they didn't even remove a piece of TAPE just stuck to the glass! The "wall" between the front and rear doors, the sides of the center console, the "pockets" that the rear seatbelt releases tuck into, the cupholders, the DOOR HANDLES, the GEAR SHIFTER, the gas tank cover, the parking brake cover... so many things that don't require a fine-tooth comb to find. That's when I call the shop. Owner's wife answers, and gives the phone to him. I HATE complaining to any establishment, and I'm soft-spoken to avoid any conflict or "Karen" behavior. He asks me about what car it was, and as soon as he hears it was the white one I dropped off, he LACES INTO ME about how dirty it was, and how he REFUSES to do any more work on it, and that he will not give me ANY money back because I "belabored" him with such a hard task. I calmly repeat that I'm not looking for more work to be done, or for a refund. I simply wanted to know if the things that weren't cleaned were things that weren't covered by the service I bought AND paid $75 MORE than I was quoted. He did not relent. You would think I was the business-owner and he was a dissatisfied customer with how much he YELLED at me. Luckily I managed to record over half of the conversation, or nobody would believe me. I will be broadcasting just how horrible this experience was and posting the "after" pictures for people to see just how many things were "missed" only for me to be SCREAMED at like a child. Screamed at, and not for berating him or his business. Screamed at because I GAVE HIM THE CAR TO WORK ON. I'm still in utter disbelief that this place gets ANY detailing work after somebody came in with something that wasn't a 2020 Jaguar looking for it's monthly upkeep."
