"First of all, Dr. Namou and all of the dental assistants I've encountered at Cranbrook Dental are fantastic. They have all been knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the office staff, particularly the office manager. I had a consultation appointment to have a crown re-done and had concerns about insurance since a claim was already filed for the original crown. I let this be known and asked if they could work with me on the financial aspect of the new crown. That's when the office manager told me that she's seen situations happen before where insurance re-allocated claim funds due to the original procedure not being done properly. She said they would submit the paperwork but I had to do my part which was to write a letter detailing what went wrong with the original crown. She even went on to tell me about a person on staff who was fantastic with insurance and would also be assisting. It was this conversation that convinced me to move forward and so I left, confident in my decision. Shortly thereafter, I emailed my letter to the office manager at Cranbrook. There was no response or any kind of acknowledgement of receipt. I only found out that she had received the letter from someone at the front desk when I returned for an appointment and they couldn't provide me with an update as it seemed they didn't even know about the conversation I had with the office manager. I finally heard back from the office manager after almost 2 weeks. She sent me a reply which neither provided me with a clear understanding of next steps or a sense that she even remembered how she offered to help. Since then the front desk people have been calling saying that I'm responsible for the full amount with no mention of any efforts on their part to appeal to insurance as was promised. Instead, all of a sudden it's my responsibility to make the appeal with no direction as to how to do this. The office manager has made no attempt to contact me directly instead I hear from the front desk that she's out of the office for a week again. I'm very disappointed in their absolutely horrible communication and customer service which is really unfortunate because the dental staff is terrific."
