"Tonight while shopping, no one approached and asked if we needed anything which is fine since we know where everything is. Found what we needed and went to self-checkout. Older gentleman at self-checkout kept asking if we scanned everything, “yes we did”. What got me upset is that the entire time while I scanned our items he stood next to me, made me really uncomfortable. I had bigger items and usually don’t bag, it’s pointless. I was getting ready to slide the credit card and he grabs stuff out of the cart and asks if the tubbing was scanned, I said “yes” he grabs the socks my husband got and asked if we scanned those, at this point I was pissed and told him “you want to scan it again then go head”, then looks at a small tile my husband had with us (trying to match grout color) and asks him if he scanned the tile. My husband owns his own business and we usually don’t shop at this location but I believe these employees need a little more training and if they are so concerned about people stealing then get rid of self-checkout and make the cashiers do some work, for real."

"Managers are very poor. Had an item listed on their website with the in store price. I made a special trip to the store for the item. It rang up for a different price. Employee that helped me said they would be able to sell it to me at the app price. First manager they got said, it shouldn't be a problem since it shows the store price. Then the last clueless manager started making all types of excuses as to why they couldn't sell it to me. Always an issue at this store. Be careful, this store participates in "false advertising" to get you into the store. I will be filing a complaint with the bbb."

"I'm not new to Lowe's only this location on Metro Parkway in Sterling Height, Michigan. Here, it's about the staff. After picking up a few items I got bogged down looking on my own for a specialty wrench to use for our gas fireplace. No less than five staffers helped but it was Janell (hopefully that's how he spells it) found a team member who had a good idea where we could find it. Janell went to the section and brought it to me. He was busy with new inventory but managed to help me and not give up. Thanks to the staff for making this shopping experience fun."

"I drove 50 miles to this location from my home to buy Christmas decor that no other Lowe's store had. When I arrived at 7:30 am I walked to the Christmas department only to find that the place my item was supposed to be in was empty. Feeling frustrated and upset (the Lowe's website said this location had 5 in stock), a nice young girl rounded the corner and asked me if I needed any help. I told her I had just driven 50 miles to buy the item I was after, and the bin was empty. She immediately pulled out her portable scanner and scanned the bin tag. She smiled and said, "I have 8 of them, I'll be right back." About 3 minutes later, she arrived in the aisle with the scissor lift and brought them down from a top shelf. She was even kind enough to let me look at them all and choose the best one. She was great. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name, but she was beyond helpful and very accommodating. It made my 2 hour round trip well worth it."

"I'm a home Depot person, but I had to shop at Lowe's for a client. Are people who work at Lowe's incapable of being helpful or is it just any Lowe's I go to? Not a single worker to be seen in any isle. And when you do find one they don't smile or greet you and definitely don't ask you if you need any help. You can go into any home Depot and all of the employees will say hello and ask if you are finding everything okay and even offer help when loading heavy objects into your vehicle. Lowe's didn't have a single employee offer me a helping hand when I needed it. Heck, I couldn't even find an employee to help me find the spray can I needed. Two thumbs down Lowe's. Home Depot still wins."
