"After switching insurance providers, I called to ensure they would still accept the new insurance and were in network. I was originally told yes, which was bad information. I started receiving large bills for basic cleanings. My husband went in for a cleaning before we caught on on and he paid off the balance at that time. They continued to send bills even after that. The process was very confusing and we assumed the last bill was a mistake. Months later, I found a new dentist because clearly there was an issue, and needed my records transferred. A very aggressive receptionist threatened to withhold records until we paid the last $150. She followed up two days later, after I already said we would pay it, to then threaten us with small claims court! (Over $150). They seem ill-informed about basic insurance/billing procedures and handled their own bad information very poorly."
