"I switched to this dentist office after not finding anyone in the area I liked. I heard good things. I went for a cleaning and Michelle is amazing with my cleanings. The new dentist partner took over and he was watching an old crown and he removed it . The temp crown fell off three times and I never even chewed on it because it was to sore. After the third time I glued it myself. I used an entire bottle of Tylenol for the pain. Now I have the new crown and it's been two weeks and still can't bite anything on it because it hurts. I wish I never had it done. After the new crown was on I switched back to my old dentist an hour away. I will not go back. So frustrating"

"Went for an appointment with my daughter and they said i should have been there yesterday? Maybe my mistake....maybe i wrote on the calendar wrong....(dunno) anyway the staff squeezed her in. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the hygienist made my daughter feel safe and sound. They did a great job today and I will be back soon with my other son. Would have given 5 stars but I dont know if the scheduling mishap falls on my shoulders alone."

"From the moment I entered Dr Hood’s office I was greeted from staff with smiles! No wait and office is very nice. One of his dental assistants Denise who was so professional and kind. She explained everything to me, answered all my questions without hesitation. Dr Hood was awesome, he was gentle and made sure I understood my plan of treatment and I could not of been more pleased with his expertise. I recommend Dr Hood and his excellent staff! "My family has been seeing Dr Hood and going to Houghton Lake Dental Associates for many years. Dr Hood and his staff have always been friendly, professional and helpful. Dr Hood is gentle and I have always appreciated that they let me know up front what cost will be. I have never had dental insurance and I find that the cost at HLDA is fair."

"I made an appointment about a month in advance and gave all of my insurance information. I got a call 1 day before my app telling me my BCN insurance was not accepted there and I would either have to pay out of network costs or be taken off the schedule. Very rude and had no time to explain anything. Just a yes or no option then rushed to get me off of the phone. I have lived in this town for over 28 years and this is the worst local service I have experienced."
