Located on the tip of the Door Peninsula in the Northeast corner of Wisconsin, the ferry to Washington Island is easily accessible by taking Highway 57 North from Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay. From there, travelers can choose to take either Hwy 42 or Hwy 57 to Sister Bay, then follow Hwy 42 to its end at Northport Pier.
For visitors without a vehicle, parking is available in lots near N. Port Des Morts Dr. and behind the Visitor Center on Washington Island. To explore all of Washington Island, a vehicle is recommended, although a passenger-only ferry, the Karfi Ferry, is available for travel between Washington Island and Rock Island.

"1st time on the ferry to Washington island. Even though I've been to other parts of Door County several times. My favorite thing about this was that the rates weren't as a bad as I expected to be as shown online. So it was only 60 dollars round trip for 2 people. Not sure I would go again but it was worth seeing once. My favorite part was the lavender shop there."
