"I wish I would have taken some photos or video, but I was trying to catch a plane and had my hands full. I was a little early for the lunch rush, so I had a lot of time and a lot of choices. The man behind the counter patiently walked me through the process of customizing my selection. I chose a chicken wrap and it was _really_ good. There were many other tempting choices, and when I am in Southfield next, I will probably stop back in to test out something else."

"I have been a regular customer the past 6 years of the Friends Cafe, as I work in the same building it is located in. I've even grown to be good acquaintances with a lot of the owning-family and other staff members. However, the last 2 months, give or take, a more mature woman has been working the cashier. She is incredibly rude and unpleasant. Despite my desperate attempts to meet her kindness and empathy upon every visit I make, she continues to be a truly awful experience at the café. Today was the breaking point. I had not come down to the store with my wallet, just a single card. So I only had a certain amount of money to spend. I apologized to her profusely and explained this to her. I assumed she got frustrated, as she not only stopped speaking to me, but she attempted to then tried take my card *out of my hand* before I was ready or able to pay yet, then after I paid with "tap" option, she had the audacity to push both my card *and my hand* off and away from the card reader. The store prices are already high enough not to come in (I paid $8.55 for a cookie, pack of Keeber peanut butter crackers, and a 3oz bag of CheezIts!!!), but promise I won't be back as long as she is assisting customers. There was no reason for that woman to place her hands on me or my card, unacceptable."

"While waiting for my lunch to be prepared, I watched the man literally spread the tuna on someone's sandwich with his (gloved) fingers. Then proceeded to go to the grill and cook - never changing the gloves. The food is overpriced and not good. I couldn't locate the ketchup & when I asked where it was, a rude cashier said she had it hidden behind her register. I won't be returning here. Packing my lunch is much cheaper & tastier."
