"If you buy shoes there make sure you never need to return or exchange them. Bought shoes for Xmas present less than 2 weeks ago. Turned out there was issue with boot, went in to return and was told I'd only get $4.37 back. Sales person wouldn't honor original price paid which was $25. When I asked why, she responds, "why what? Thats just what it is." I walked out with the same shoes, on principle. Its the second time this has happened. I won't go back."
"My friend is a veteran of the Marine Corp and was at the store in Houghton Lake today, 12/10/23. He went in to purchase shoestrings and the lady who helped him at the counter was down right rude. When he asked if they gave a veteran discount, she questioned the fact that he was a veteran. Even, after showing his veteran card, and his driver’s license which states he is a veteran she still refused to believe him. When he offered to show her the license plate on the car showing a disabled plate plus being a veteran she called the cops. This lady discriminates against veterans and should not be working at that store. This was the first time my friend has ever insulted as a veteran. He has gone into other stores, including Walmart, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, just to name a few and all have treated him with respect and thanked him for his service. Needles to say he is greatly upset with this incident. We refuse to shop in the store and will tell all our friends about this incident."
