"Being new to Wisconsin, my opinion may not mean much, but I've had some of the best cheese of my life at this place (so far). Got the Tailgate Burger, subbed American for cheddar, and we also shared some cheese curds for our appetizer. Everything was great. The patty was actually high quality and fresh-tasting, which isn't usually the case for a burger. They even have sweet potato fries, which is always a plus. Also, the blueberry pie we had was AMAZING. One of the best pies I've ever had, and definitely the best blueberry one! Could be more transparent about the raspberry sweet tea not featuring refills, but now I'll know for next time, LOL. Service was good. Overall, very happy with my experience."

"Family style restaurant with excellent food and service. The food was delicious. The service was helpful and very friendly. The server we had was on top to care about our meal and checked in frequently. Our server went out of her way to get us a pitcher of soda. The restaurant is easily located just off the Highway 29, exit 225. Plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible. Located on the north side, westbound lanes from the highway. I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu includes a decent affordable price for a family style restaurant. It's definitely a five-star rating without a doubt."

"Shawano's Cafe has good burgers priced right. The place is a family restaurant which is open and very bright inside. It's a basic dining room with plenty of seating, but a seperate bar room is attached. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have pies in a case up front, and they serve breakfast all day. We all had burgers which were topped off nicely with quality fixings. The patties had good flavor. I ordered the big boy which clocks in at one pound. They have to use a bread bowl for the bun in order to contain it all. They definitely did not deliver a medium rare burger as ordered. It was medium well, but the bun was a crispy and buttery, so with the bacon and cheese it did not read dry. It's probably more like eating two and a half normal burgers because of the bun size. It's definitely not for the average bear. Without a grizzly appetite like mine, best to step away and avoid the walk of shame, little cub."
