"I went into this pregnancy knowing that I would want postpartum doula support, specifically for nights after we brought our first baby home, and I could not be more pleased with Gold Coast. As a first time mom, I honestly had no idea what I was doing :) Our Doulas - Kaytlyn, Kristin M., Mia & Kay felt like having your best friends help you out overnight that also happened to be baby experts. Postpartum can feel like such a lonely and isolating time, and they truly made me feel like I had a great support system around me and that I could get through anything (and we did have some challenges with our little girl early on). I can not thank the girls enough for their support and knowledge - I couldn't have done it without them!!"

"I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Julie at Gold Coast Doulas! My husband and I had been on the fence about hiring a doula because of the added financial investment, but it wound up being a decision that completely changed the course of our birthing experience. Julie was so present with us every step of the way, providing support in the weeks leading up to labor, staying up with us all night at the hospital and well into the morning, and providing us with help breastfeeding following the arrival of our daughter, too. In the weeks leading up to labor I had a LOT of fear about the idea of labor induction and the possibility of a c-section. Julie was incredibly helpful in supporting me as I worked through those fears, providing resources for fear release, quality evidence-based resources on my questions and more. When my due date came and went and it came time for me to face induction, I had a completely different attitude about it than I had before working through all the processing Julie encouraged me to do. This positive headspace impacted my experience in HUGE ways and set me up for a beautiful labor, even though I had to be induced. During labor, Julie encouraged me to use my voice in a very empowering and skillful way. With her support and my husband's support, I found myself advocating for what I wanted instead of needing someone else to do it for me. I birthed for a long time without an epidural, and she worked alongside my husband to support me, helped us try new positions, work with hydrotherapy and more. When the time came to push my baby out the process was fast because we'd moved her down so effectively with all the different positions. I greeted my daughter with a smile on my face and a feeling of empowerment that I will never forget. If we ever decide to grow our family again, I will reach out to Julie to be on our team with absolutely no hesitations! So grateful to her and Gold Coast. HIGHLY recommend!"

"I honestly do not know where we would be without Kay, our Doula. She came 2 nights per week starting at two weeks postpartum. I thought we would just do a couple weeks but we continued with Kay through 4 months. She helped us be better parents to our baby girl. As new parents, we had so much to learn and Kay provided loving guidance, advice, and reassurance when we needed it most. Kay taught us how to be good parents — she helped us learn hungry cues, sleepy cues, and overtired cues and how to help our daughter in each situation. She eased my postpartum anxiety about so many things as a new parent. I cherished the times she would bring my daughter to me in bed to breastfeed at night, while Kay would sit in the edge of our bed and talk to me about whatever I needed to discuss or ask questions about. My husband was also very grateful for her advice and her presence. She became a part of our new little family in a way and we still say to this day “What would Kay do?” ☺️ She allowed us to get a few nights of extra sleep so that we could be more present for our daughter during the day and not physically and emotionally exhausted. She relieved so much decision fatigue. To have just a few hours a week where you did not have to constantly make decisions and think about your little one’s well-being because someone you trusted was there taking care of her, made a huge difference in all of our well-being. Kay is truly an angel on this earth and was a big blessing for our family! I recommend her with the highest confidence and enthusiasm."
