"Beautiful and safe with the best staff. We moved my daughter into her dorm room this month and it was very easy going and the floor admins were very helpful. I especially love thw lay out of the dorm room with every personal room having a key card entry."

"Beautiful and friendly campus and decent housing. I've stayed here for two years and can say it's been fun. There's plenty of activities to do and lots of people to meet. The resident halls are kept clean and tidy. White Hall as well as the other resident halls are very secure as well. Each apartment inside has key card access as well as the individual rooms for each resident. There is always someone at the front desk to help you out with anything you need and to monitor the cameras. It is a very safe and comforting place to stay while attending Southwestern Michigan College. Every week there is an event or two in the resident halls for fun or to teach an important life lesson. The resident assistants and the resident halls managers really care about each and every resident and how they are doing in both their housing and class situations. The only downside to the resident halls is that the floors are not very resistant to sound and the college network goes down very often. It is a standard to keep a network up a minimum of 99.99% of the time, but it goes out frequently. Expect to lose access to the internet and the college's homework/grading system Moodle at least once a week. Hopefully they will resolve the networking issue, but I can't see any fix for sound proofing. Just be sure to be patient and resilient if you live under someone and be kind and try to be quiet if you live above someone. Common courtesy. Other than that, this really is an excellent experience, especially for people who are new to college and can afford the hefty price tag."

"First time in a dorm while visiting my son :) Security procedures getting in/out made me feel safe that kids there are protected!"
