"Place was really nice for the price! Front desk staff was very nice. The only problem was, the cleaning staff in the morning. They were ridiculously loud starting at 8am. Talking (Yelling) at each other and slamming doors throwing things. No reason to have a 12 O'clock check out when the cleaning service makes sure you're up by 8!"

"Don't be misled by renovated lobby - rooms are frat-tastic. Rooms smell like too many hard drinking football weekends. Musty"

"Stayed here for several days starting 12/25. The place was fantastic and the staff was amazing!! The hotel was clean and had a lot of lobby space to relax with televisions everywhere. The room was perfect and the bathroom was perfectly clean. This place has a lot of things to offer.. Definitely would recommend this place"

"This is an aging hotel that is in fairly good shape with clean rooms but issues with the HVACs. Rooms are ok for ~$100/night if you don't mind finicky HVAC. It was snowing outside and the room was cold when I arrived. I turned up the thermostat and nothing happened. I played around with it switching from heat to cool to off and back, and still nothing happened I went out to my car and still nothing when I returned. I asked the guy at the front desk if it took a while for the heat to start and he did not seem to know. He said he would tell their maintenance person but he was busy at the moment. I asked for a different room. The heat worked immediately. Seemed good until I realized that it wasn't shutting off. I turned it up two degrees and it went from ~70 to what felt like 80 over 15 minutes. Turned it down all the way and it went off. But when I turned it up a couple of degrees, same problem. I asked for another room and the guy at the front desk gave me one but he said there was nothing wrong with the first one and acted like I was a crazy. He said if I have any more problems I should find another hotel. This guy doesn't believe the customer is always right. In room #3 the heat worked properly but the fan would not shut off, no matter where it was set. Not a big problem because I could trip the breaker on the wall to shut it off, but still not working like it should. This place is a Marriott in name only. I'll stay somewhere else the next time I am in Ann Arbor."

"George, at the front desk and Jason (engineer) were amazingly helpful and sweet. Our car was badly damaged by a vehicle explosion in the parking lot. They helped us out with transportation and made the tragedy a little less inconvenient."
