"Stay was covered by the VA. This hotel must have a block of rooms dedicated to the VA and are absolutely DISGUSTING! Check in the desk clerk was rude. Hallway smells musty. Enter the room and smelled dirty. Pulled back the covers to find hair and a questionable substance on the sheets. The clerk moved me to another room. Walked in and the room reeked like cologne and floor was nasty. No need to set an alarm because you can hear your neighbors alarm just fine. Clearly Microtel doesn’t care that the rooms are nasty because the VA is paying. I am a vet and living in the desert was cleaner than this hotel!"

"I was incredibly impressed with this hotel! The outside of the hotel is very inviting and the inside is just as lovely. The rooms are updated and pristine. A very nice continental breakfast is offered, including waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt, etc. Coffee and hot chocolate are available 24 hours a day in the lobby. There is a shuttle to the hospital that’s available and a washer and dryer area as well. There is a discount offered if you are visiting people in the hospital. The rooms have beautiful new flooring but without the carpeting, you can hear footsteps above you! The people at the front desk were very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located to lots of restaurants and only 10 minutes from the hospital! I would highly recommend this place!"

"I stayed here for a business trip to the Ann Arbor area. The hotel itself was fairly clean and seemed to be well managed, but it was showing its age in a few spots. That being said, it was quiet and relatively inexpensive without being too worn. It fit my purposes perfectly, and it's location near the highway was great. I had no real issues and would certainly stay again."

"For the most part, things were good here. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay. The only hot item was the make your own waffles, which were good. There were the usual cold items of fruit, yogurt, bread, etc."
