M22 Inn - Suttons Bay

"Let me start by saying that this is an older motel, so don't expect a Hilton room. This is in a perfect location - only a bit away from busy Traverse City, and central to everything we wanted to do. We stayed in room #1 and had a nice bay view. The room was spacious. Nice kitchenette with normal size frig and a sink. We were pleasantly surprised to find silverware, dishes, cups, paper towels, and other kitchen amenities. Nice big closet. Great shower pressure and nice towels. There was a small beach across the street that we used for a short time and had a bottle of Michigan wine and just relaxed. Being older, there are of course updates that need to be done. Definitely need more lighting in the room and the air conditioner was very noisy. We would stay again as long as we get that particular room."

"This hotel was one of the worst experiences of my life! I never write reviews and told the "inn keeper" as much on the phone when I was unable to reach the owner. So many nats in our room I lterally had to shake them off my clothes to pack. I've never seen anything like this. IT WAS SO BAD I almost backed up and left in the night. When I spoke with the person on the phone about this complaint she yelled (not raised her voice) yelled that this is how it is here this time of year and that I had too much food in our room to be clear I took my own trash out (to the dumpster not 50 feet from my room) everytime we had a bite to eat never left open food in the room but she had the gall to tell me she emptied food out of our garbage can when cleaning We had a few items left in the refrigirator on the morning of our departure so we put them in the waste can in our room. Other than this no food was left in the room. I felt so insulted, degraded, and made to feel like this was my fault. To be clear during the conversation (before she hung up on me) she admitted to trying to get rid of the bugs in the rooms and that we should not have had so much food in the room! I couldnt believe this. Also to say thats just the way it is here this time of year. To conclude I will say I live on the lake in the lower part of the state and I confess I eat bagels in my home but I have never had to shake hundreds of nats off my clothing to get dressed in the morning"

"So the room is ok but this is a motel not an inn. the price was that of a nice suite with breakfast. No contact for check in/out. Found a tick but what can you do. Also you can tell they tried to clean things off but you can't bleach or mold. That drywall and trim needs to be removed. It was quiet and the bed was good as was the shower."

"What a perfect place to stay! It is super clean, most importantly. The room is spacious and comfortable with a little kitchen area that includes a sink and nice size refrigerator. It is conveniently located between Traverse City and Suttons Bay, so we can easily get to all of our favorite spots. Plus, we are able to sit outside of our room to enjoy our coffee (and wine!). You can see a bit of the lake across the highway, and the noise of the traffic didn’t bother us at all. Very relaxing. We will definitely be back and recommend it to others."

"Worst Place I have ever stayed in. Right off the bat when we got there our tv remote was broken and the floor was covered in dirt. Let’s move to the bathroom. The shower was dirty, water sucked. Also there was blood on the sheets where i slept. Blood stains yes you heard me. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Next The management Lady who changed our sheets was very very rude and had an attitude. Overall this place Is Overly disgusting and gross. It is dirty, smelly and noisy. I will never ever be back here ever. Don’t go here."
