"The membership rates increase but the quality of the service is worse as time goes by. I hope the $3 increase to a very expensive membership can help extend the hours of service, fix things broken for weeks in men's locker room, provide towels as before the pandemic, or put some soap in the showers. Just a few things from a long list failing on this expensive and not-worthy-the-money place."

"Nice gym, very friendly staff, and conveniently located. The lifting area usually isn't too crowded, at least compared to Crunch Fitness where I was previously a member. Only minor complaint is I wish Sunday hours started at 7am to align with Saturday hours."

"Customer service was terrible. I bought a parking pass years ago and was told I’d receive the deposit back when I returned it. Since I was moving out of state, I returned it and was told I’d receive a check in the mail, however did not. I called multiple times asking where it was and now they’re telling me they changed their policy and no longer give the deposit back. I only bought it because I was reassured I’d receive it back. The guy wasn’t very nice and hung up on me, refusing to return my deposit. I’m very upset with them and will never recommend anyone going there again."

"I really want to like the A2 Y. I have tried so hard. My son really needs the family pool, but we'll probably migrate to Liberty Athletic Club at some point soon. The facility is fairly new but starting to show its age, and the location can be a pro or con depending on where you live in town. It's relatively cheap, but not even the cheapest game in town. As a nonprofit that still carries relatively moderate membership fees, you'd expect a bit more than surface-level goodwill toward the community. But as other posters have alluded to, the staff has serious gaps with training, skills and abilities. Some are really nice, but for many others there's just such a gap with training and skills. I've tried to set up a meeting with the membership manager about this, to no avail. Again, a lot of staff are really nice or giving it their best go and I don't fault the frontline folks when things go south there, but it can be a pretty shambolic place so shop around before signing up."

"I personally love the staff. The programs dedicated to the community are amazing, and to top that, the building is also a extremely new, high quality, modern building. The membership prices are high but definitely worth the pay!"
