Sailing South Haven

"100% a Great Experience. My wife, our daughter and myself chartered a 2 hour sailing experience with Captain Andy and we had a great time. Andy and our crew member were very welcoming right off the bat and adjusted our experience to meet our needs. Our daughter is pretty young (3 months old at the time) so we took it easy, didn't go too fast and just enjoyed the ride. It was apparent from the get go that safety is a priority here and at no point did I feel that was compromised. When we come back to South Haven we will definitely be booking again. Thanks Captain Andy!"

"We were set up to do a sunset cruise, upon arrival I noted we were getting close to our ten minute arrival time.. About that time Captain Andy appeared out of the vessel. He said they had been tracking the weather and it was getting worse. Winds and waves were up. Our comfort was his first concern, he talked us through the options and decided to reschedule. He apologized for not contacting us ahead of time but the weather had behaved most of the day and he hoped that we would be able to sail. We were looking for a comfortable sunset cruise , so we opted to set up another date. Professional and courteous, we enjoyed just chatting with him as we waited for a weather update, which came back no better. We will return., and thank you.. we walked out of the harbor and knew we made the right choice seeing the waves come in off the lake."

"Absolute must-do in South Haven. Captain Andy and Captain Erin were awesome, and it made for a great afternoon on Lake Michigan. The excursion was exceptionally well done with COVID-19, and we felt incredibly safe with the precautions they took (they wore masks while underway when coming up front to change the rigging, and you have the whole boat to yourself in the 2020 season!). Great idea for an anniversary, birthday, or a date night. Will definitely be re-booking an excursion next year on the Margaret Ann when we are back in town!"

"This was my third sunset sail out of South Haven, my first with Captain Andy. It was, by far an incredible experience! We had a visit from a cormorant that sat atop the mast. The sunset was vivid and presented a scene suitable for painting with hues of yellow, blue, purple, and red. Andy and Erv were both knowledgeable and the conversation was friendly, informative, and enjoyable."
