I was a bit overwhelmed but I decided to follow her suggestion to practice yoga almost daily and it has made such a difference in my flexibility = strength = feeling of peace = overall well being ! The teachers are all super and offer such a variety of instruction, they are all well trained and certified / they care deeply about your progress and are eager to guide you ! I often drive to their Grayling studio as well as theHiggins Lake studio and I love the other yogi students that you find in both locations: you truly feel part of a caring group of participants! "My first Stone Turtle Yoga experience was on the beach at Higgins Lake State Park. What a way to start your day..yoga and looking at the beautiful blue green spring fed caribbean of the north. My instructor was Libby. She was so encouraging. The next 2 Yoga classes were at the Cross.Country ski headquarters. I loved being in the old lodge with stone fireplace, old wood floors and essential oils. I was inspired by the messages that they left me with and the quality of each individual that worked there. A very cool thing happened too...I saw a deer in the back x country trail. That was a beautiful sight before yoga."
"I have traveled the world doing yoga..USA, India, and Europe. Stone Turtle Yoga is at the level of some of the best studios I have been to. The atmosphere is harmonious and beautiful, nestled in the small Lake towns of Northern Michigan, Higgins Lake and Grayling Mi. The Owner, and the Yoga Teacher I had most of my Classes with, was Mariah. Her style was gentle, her voice is peaceful, and her classes healed my body in a deep way.
