"Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!! I have an 17 year old daughter and a 1 year old Daughter that attends this practice and has been attending for over a year, My oldest daughter had an appointment today for a personal matter and as all parents know once teens get over a certain age they are very personal about things such as certain health concerns, took my 17 year old daughter in for an apt, and they the Front Office Manager and the Appointment setter Shirley told her that she could not be in the building or the appointment alone, so I advised them that’s she has done this before been in her appointment alone if they wanted me in the building that was fine, however while she is in her appointment she is old enough to be in alone per Michigan Minor Consent Statute, they informed me that she has never been in alone to her appoint, and she has and that was not their policy ..so I asked to see a copy of their policy and was denied, they were rude and belligerent and resulted in calling the Cops all because I asked for a copy of this policy that would force me to violate my daughters privacy rights, I attempted to speak to the practitioner who was open to listening to me and the Office Manager Physically removed the practitioner from the area and stated “ Don’t talk to her I have called the police!” Nothing was done by police because ultimately there was no wrong doing on my part, upon calling the office after leaving to get information on the providers, the Appointment setter Shirley answers the phone disclosing My daughters personal medical information openly in office and also on a non secure phone line all before saying hello, I politely let her know that was a HIPPA violation and I will be consulting legal advice. Horrible Horrible practice I wouldn’t take my Dog back to this place! stay away!"

"My children have been seen by Bloomfield Pediatrics since the day they were born. My youngest son had a medical issue which the doctor identified, and with their help he received the surgery he needed. The staff, PA and doctor has always been caring and helpful. I’m amazed at how many moms I know, that I find out they take their children there as well!"

"I have had the distinct pleasure of TRUSTING the Bloomfiekd Pediatric Practice since 2004, when our youngest daughter was born. At that time, My co-workers in the pharmaceutical industry, practically INSISTED that we see the owner and founder, Dr Kelly. Both of my friends, literally saying “you have got to see Dr. Kelly, she’s the best!” At the time, I had a two-year-old and a newborn and IMMEDIATELY knew, as mothers do, That I found a doctor that I could trust who cared for us as a family! The ENTIRE practice made us feel welcome and safe! EVERY experience was filled with both love, care and education! Dr. Kelly taught us so much about the medical world! Even as much to say that, it has inspired my 19-year-old daughter to go into nursing, and my 20 year old to go into the medical field as a physicians assistant! During our time at the practice, Which is drawing to a close due to their age, we have been seeing the nurse practitioner, Val! Val has been mentored by Dr Kelly and has her perspective and wisdom with her own distinct passion for caring! Val may also have been a big inspiration for our daughter to become a PA. I cannot compliment the practice enough, , knowing that as a mother, this practice puts the patient first every time! Medicine is reading the patient and the situation and NOT just prescribing a drug to treat the condition. Having been in the pharmaceutical industry for 9 years as well as having a father in law who was “cut from the same cloth” as the practitioners that we have been blessed to know-, if you want the most important qualities in a practice, this is where you will find it! That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it!"

"A couple of months ago my family decided to make the switch to a new practice after one of the new providers named Azra Hakimi MD wouldn’t provide antibiotics for an obvious infection on and around my son’s mouth. She said it would go away on its own. He was crying in pain for days until we decided to take him to urgent care and they treated him properly with the antibiotics he deserved days ago. Come to find out it was a staph infection! Complained to the office manager and she just wanted us to speak to the doctor, wouldn’t even apologize. Dr. Kelly was great. Didn’t even know she wasn’t even practicing until today when I asked for medical records to be released to Dr. Forster’s new office in Rochester. She is just the owner. I don’t see how this is still legal to have her listed on someone’s insurance as a pcp when she isn’t a provider, just an owner. I feel like it is very misleading.
