"Similar to the others. I had issues with the billing department. I was upcoded for an ER visit for my son, the used a CPT code that was not consistent with the service given. Called, many times to try to resolve it, and kept getting the "we will get back to you or we will look into this response" then got sent to collections."

"ZERO STARS I just received a bill from this company as of 6/17. It was entirely separate from the bill I had already paid in full from Beaumont regarding the same emergency room visit listed in this bill. The bill was marked for collections despite it being my first time having seen it. Conveniently, I received this bill on a Friday, just in time to miss the scheduled hours for the customer support number to make a dispute. I will now have to wait until Monday to call and subsequently risk having my credit damaged by a bill possibly going to collections. The practices of this billing department are not only predatory, they're downright incompetent."

"I would give them 5 stars for the medical treatment received. I would give them 0 stars if possible for their billing deptartment. We received and promptly paid with a bank check the amount on the invoice. A month later we received another bill for the same amount. I had a cancelled check from our bank as proof that payment was submitted and received. I sent an email to the address listed on the invoice. They asked for a few follow up pieces of material that we promptly submitted. A month later I checked the balance on the online billpay portal and was not happy to see that the entire amount was still showing as past due. I then sent another email in asking the status and if this needed to be escalated to a supervisor. My efforts were rewarded by no response from the billing company and a letter was received from a collections company a couple of weeks later. Not a good experience people. Maybe the medical team of this practice should hire a new billing company."

"Let's start off with the bedside manner - HORRIBLE. I came in on Christmas Day with an injury and they acted like I was bothering them. I didn't want to be there on Christmas either, but that’s no excuse to treat someone who needs help so poorly. It was hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a team of doctors and nurses. But what came later was even worse. They billed someone else's insurance which I found out two months after my visit. I called them and gave them the correct information and never heard anything more about it so I considered it taken care of. Fast forward a few more months and I get a letter in the mail from a collections agency saying I never paid my bill. I called them again (good luck reaching Billing, btw - this took me dialing 5 different numbers and being hung up on repeatedly) and gave them my information yet again. They claim they had the wrong group number. How about notifying me of this problem instead of just sending my bill to collections? I have absolutely no confidence they're going to actually do their job this time around and will most likely be fighting this bill for the rest of the year. My credit score took a huge hit because of their incompetence. In short, an absolute nightmare. Go ANYWHERE ELSE if you can."

"Farmington Hills Emergency Medical Associates PC . They are the doctors for Beaumont Hospital Farmington Hills emergency room. The hospital has no over sight over these people. They charge whatever they want. $1000.00 for 15 min. is pure greed. They have no physical address. They use ER address and phone #. If you call about bill you're directed to third party billing ( MyDocBill powered by Zotec ). If you call them and question it, you owe what you owe and hang up on you. Somebody got a sweet deal as most of these doctors did their residency here. This is totally unethical."
