"I've been going to this endocrinologist group for so long I've been going to them when they were stationed at an office inside the Michigan City hospital. They've cycled through several doctors over the course of a decade plus I've been there, each time the doctor being very helpful and informative. Last June, my doctor there retired, they said they are closing this branch of their endocrinolgy practice and would be referring all of their patients to Muenster, the closest office to this location (that's an hour each way). I come to find out that the other doctor of endocrinology there is still practicing and the office is open, why would their phone number still work 6 months after they "closed"? Basically the patients that were being seen under the same doctor as me were made to drive an hour away which may not be feasible for many and for me is ridiculous. In effect, that was the level of concern and care from this office. Sad. Once the doctor that they said WAS retiring actually retires they will tell you with very little notice that you have to drive an hour away. There isn't much choice for endocrinologists in this area unfortunately, but I find when people lie to me I don't care for that very much."
