"Please do not bring your children to this office!! You are first and foremost the advocate for your child. You are the voice for your child because they don't have one and you know your child the best. This office will refuse care let your child fight off what they will call a virus no matter how long and how many times you beg and plead and come in for the same bacterial infection. The testing procedure for flu and strep need to be revisited as to how this testing is performed. There is absolutely no need to grip and hold the back of a child's head and abruptly stab a child's nose to the point of 2 days of bleeding for a flu test. There is also no need to hold the back of a child's head and take two swabs and visually violently shake a child's head back and forth to perform a step test! It's a simple gentle swab of the tonsil area. And if you say anything the nurse explains she doesn't have to hold them down unless they fight. Listens and ask your child about their visit and when they tell you they NEVER want to go back then listen to them because you don't HAVE to say this is ok because it's not. I took my child straight to urgent care where they have gotten the same stories from Multiple people about procedures and treatments and is the sure cause of why even medical professionals refuse to take their children to this office. I called and asked for Tracey who would not provide her last name who is the office manager to explain my dire concerns and beg for help with my child. To be told there's been a breakdown in the relationship and I need to find another office instead of agreeing my child deserved the help he had already been treated for that failed. Which they first explained if this medicine didn't work we will try something else and then refuse the treatment. Its to bad I already informed them medical professionals gave me suggestions on other offices that will treat my children with the respect they deserve instead of letting them suffer for months and miss countless days of school. YOU DONT HAVE TO AGREE with treatment and just say ok because they think they know your child better than you do. And I'm sorry the way this treatment continues is because not enough people stand up for their children and when you do you answer to the same Dr the runs the office. So you will get no where and the dangerous failed treatment of children will continue. Educate yourself on the signs of bacterial infections vs viral and be sure that your not in an office where you hear countless children screaming in pain. There's offices out there that are not ANTI antibiotic and will take your children's health and length of suffering into consideration and at least provide some kind of help. You are the parent and do not have to be talked to like a child and be told once you beg for help and why that you will not talk like that in this office. Yes the breakdown on a relationship is when you come in and pay money to be told go home and fight for your child's health. And if you don't like it take them to the emergency room. And just and fyi we went straight to urgent care and had the same procedure done that was not brutal it was gently done and with CARE and we had a completely different outcome. Please be the advocate and listen to your children watch listen and observe. Please take your children elsewhere because they don't answer to anybody but themselves. Please be careful! And sorry places that hide things pay to have bad reviews removed so take what I say and talk with your child. You don't have to feel uncomfortable with treatment."

"Don’t be late they’ll turn you away. My wife left work early to take our 3 year old daughter for her appointment. She had to drive 10 minutes out of the way to pick up our daughter then drive back across town. On the way she got stuck behind a tractor and line of cars. Anyway, their policy is up to 10 minutes late and she got there 12 minutes late. And this is the first time since we’ve been going there. (Last 2 and a half years) After all this, they said we cannot see you now, you’ll have to reschedule. My wife had a bad day already and this brought her to tears. We’ve never in our lives been turned away until now. Southside Pediatrics, you should be ASHAMED! We will be going elsewhere."

"My daughter failed a hearing test. Doctors were informed sent her for tunes. Month goes by I call the doctor to check up on her hearing and get another test done. Come back to doctors saying they can't complete the test without a referral. They are supposed to be my daughter's doctor and they themselves never tried to recheck her hearing or make sure she was improving. So as a parent I went out of my way to get these done just for them to tell me no because they didn't catch it first."

"We love southside! We especially love Dr.Abby and Dr.Jessica. Dr.Abby noticed that i was a young single mother when i had my son and after my sons check up she would always ask how i was doing or if there was any help she could provide me. Dr. Abby was always compassionate and very helpful with resources. Since then we have moved away but i love this office so much i still make the hour drive to continue to have Dr.Abby see my kiddos. I couldnt ask for a better doctor or staff."

"We moved here to Hastings 3 years ago and have been taking both of our children to this office since. I've never felt more welcomed, heard, and my children understood. This is such a wonderful office from the front desk clerks, to the nurses to the nurse practioners and the physician. Today was an exceptional appointment! My 2.5 year old son climbed on the lap of Dr. Abby and fell asleep while talking with me about him and my 6 year old son. Both of my children felt comfortable, relaxed and at ease while in her hands. When we left, my youngest son was still asleep, on my shoulder, and a nurse opened the doors for me, walked us to my car and buckled my eldest son in the car for me , while I got my youngest, sleeping toddler in the car. I cannot comment how wonderful the staff is at this facility."
