"Me and my brother both went to this school. A teacher told my mom my brother is worthless and won't be anything... even though he was straight A student. Also a teacher threw iced bottles at him and other students. Also to make matters worse teacher will straight up bully students. I was a social outcast and was bullied by teachers all the time. The staff will search your phones and laptops happened to my brother specifically ... which is a crime! People are rude and stuck up. Also a teacher once told me my parents should go and die and my brother is nothing.. so I moved school to Woodhaven high school much better school! Do not go to summit or take your kid their, they also don't understand each kid learns differently."

"Our children started attending Summit as they transitioned into Middle School. We were happy with the public elementary school they were attending a but wanted a different learning environment (than was available in our city) for their teen years. We have been very happy that we choose Summit for their education for the past 6 years. My oldest is now a senior, and she has found a love of playing various instruments and being a Band member (which is more like a family) during her years at Summit. My son is a junior, and was diagnosed with epilepsy a year and a half ago. The care and compassion that the administration and staff have shown him and our family is amazing, and the speediness of organizing and setting up a 504 building plan for him has allowed us to feel more at ease while he attends school. Our youngest is in 9th grade, and enjoys challenging herself to do the very best she can, and her teachers encourage that. No school is perfect, but overall we are very satisfied with the quality education that our kids are getting, and the fact that they are HAPPY there makes it that much better."

"The school is rather well and offers many classes to a student's needs. It has a bit of a wide array of electives. It's highly focused on college preparation and pushes any seniors to apply and get accepted to colleges. If the elective cannot be found within the school, it can be found in the school's online program. The school has several clubs for students to partake in. The school offers only Spanish in a non-online class. The halls can get a little cramped during passing time. The food isn't the best, I often found myself still hungry afterwards, so I'd recommend packing a lunch. They do have microwaves in the cafeteria if you wish to bring something that needs to be warmed up."

"My children have been attending this school for two years now, and this year hasn’t been anything but a headache. My daughter who’s never been in any trouble has been having issues with a few girls, because of who her friend is. I’ve requested to have a parent meeting with all the parents of the children that are involved, but it isn’t allowed. These girls have followed my daughter to the bus that they do not ride, they’ve taken things off of her locker, they’ve harassed her other friends, they’ve knocked books out of my daughters friends hand, these girls have harassed and pushed my son, one of the girls that does ride the bus proceeded to follow my daughter and her friend to the car to fight them, another girl who also rides the same bus was saying how her aim is never off( shooting a gun), etc. I could go on and on but I just don’t have the time! Academically they’re great, but putting a stop bullying and the harassment they’re pretty slow at handling the situation. I’ve been up to the school and calling since September!"

"I love the school my son has attended Summit since 5th grade he is now a sophomore. The teachers are quick to respond to your e-mail even after hours, if there is an issue administration are always willing to help resolve issues. If you are looking for a school that allow parents to not be hands on involved, students to just promote to the next grade or looking for "excuses" Summit is not for you! The school gears toward student-teacher-parent involvement just go to any game or activity. Also, the office staff rocks! Warning they will wean out the ones who are not a good fit (bullies, fighters, trouble makers & the lazy ones)"
