"I want to put a few things to rest. First, no this is not a terrible school. Canton prep delivers on every promise that they make to parents and students with the most important being “preparing students for college sucsess”. I am current enrolled in my second year of college and I am doing nothing short of succeeding. I am on the deans list and have straight A’s and I credit all of my success to this school. Second, this school IS A HIGH SCHOOL! High school has rule. While this may be a abstract idea to the public school system and those that have been in it, canton prep has rules and regulations put in place to help students succeed both in life and in the academic arena. Yes this means dress code. Yes this means swearing in class or in the halls is not ok. And yes this means being late class cause detentions. But all of these are there to helps students succeed. Side note on Dress code: fun fact! Most jobs have a required dress code. While students may want to wear sweatpants to class, preparing students to join the workforce, which is something we want all kids to do, teaching the value of uniform is key. Third, this school strives to push students to be a productive member of their communities. In addition to expecting students to receive a C average or higher, this school requires at least 60 hours of community service. While some students may find this an annoyance, this encourages students to become an active member of their communities. Canton prep is even willing to go as far as having one entire school day devoted to community service. All of the students are required to go to a different area in the community as a classroom and help out. This could be some things such as pulling weeds for a older family to something like picking up in preserved parks. This school is incredible in so many ways and if you are considering enrolling your child in this school, take it from me, Canton predatory high school is the I deal school for students that strive to be better than all the rest. Students that want to succeed not just in school, but in life. One more thing! If you are a student that attends the school or you are going to be a student that attends the school, I strongly encourage you to join electives, clubs, sports, or anything you can do to be involved with in the school. If there are problems that you have with your school, or your high school experience is not as fun as you expected it to be, I encourage you to join a club that shares interest with you. It is an excellent way to make friends if there are problems that you have with your school, or your high school experience is not as fun as you expected it to be, I encourage you to join a club that shares interest with you. It is an excellent way to make friends and make getting up at 6 a little bit easier"

"Being a former student here (Sophomore & Junior year 2015-2017) I can say this school has a very good academic system. Coming from public schools my whole life, I gained so much more than what i did in public schools. I could see improvement as well as my parents could. Junior year I even took an Ap class(Ap classes are required here), and I passed with a B! Although the academic system was really good, the environment of this school is terrible. My sophomore year was by far my best year of high school. The kids weren't all that great... but my group of friends were. The reason I say the kids weren't great is because they got into SO MUCH trouble! It was a daily thing, for both my Sophomore and Junior year. Most of the kids here (not all) are a bad influence. Sophomore year there was a bomb threat made to the school by a group of boys. The principal at the time was a very good one and handled it well. Then, the principal left and for my Junior year we got a new one. I personally DID NOT like the principal at all. They were terrible at running the school. They could not control the students, they could not control situations well. (there is a new principal there as of right now and i like her.) I ended up being very sad my whole Junior year, because of the people there. I used to be so happy to go to school, but that all changed the next year. The kids there and the teachers (There are 3 teachers that are very nice and helpful) there just make up a bad environment. I would Not recommend this school to anyone. I do not want their happy child have a BAD high school experience. Only send your kids here if you HAVE to, if you don't have to please SEND THEM TO ANOTHER SCHOOL. I left the school for my Senior year because I wanted to enjoy my last year of high school and be in a GOOD ENVIRONMENT! I am now enjoying school! :)"

"As a Senior, I can say that Canton Prep has given me more opportunities than any other school I been too. There are many staff members that help you out with anything you need. We might have some problems, but are school is still developing. Sooner of later we will become a better school. I would recommend this school to anybody that wants to get ready for college. We have a small school, which makes it easier for people to know you better and become friends. Our school has a uniform system because so people don`t get judged on what they are wearing. It is not just for random reasons. There are certain days that we have free days meaning that we have field days or helping a teacher in a classroom."

"I am a current senior at Canton prep and I have been here since the first day it opened. We do have some issues, however, you have to take into consideration that this school has only been open for three years. I can personally say that our school has improved since the first year it opened. Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Miles are the best things that have happened to our school. Mrs. Miles has created many more opportunities for us, and always takes our opinions into consideration when making decisions. She has boosted school moral by making our school a safe and enjoyable learning environment. You can go to Mrs. Russell for any college questions and she will always have an answer. You can also go to her for help with college applications, scholarships, or even life advice. Canton Prep is a small school but this is a good thing. This allows us to make connections and bonds with out teachers and get one-on-one time with them when I need help. Our teachers genuinely care about us and want to help us succeed. Our schools diversity allowed me to meet and becoming friends with people from all over the country and world. For students and parents looking for other options aside from private schools and public school, I would recommend you go to Canton Prep because it prepares you for college success."

"Being a current senior at Canton Prep I have attended the school since the first day it was open. Like most schools, there are issues, but the school has only been open for three years. In the past three years I have seen tremendous growth. By having a smaller school, I have found that it is easier to connect with my teachers and get more one on one time with them when I need help. On top of having great teachers, Canton Prep also has an AMAZING college counselor. She is one of the best things that has happened to the school. You can go to her with any questions that you have about college or even sit down with her and have her help you fill out college applications and scholarships. Going to Canton Prep has allowed me to open up as a person and has given me opportunities that I would not have gotten elsewhere. All schools have problems, but our school is growing to fix those problems and allow students to have the best learning environment that they could possibly have."
