"It’s always a challenge to find a reasonable restaurant with easy parking in Birmingham, so my daughter and I ended up going to Troy. I had the black and blue burger. It was good and as expected. The waitress seems to be in a hurry each time as she came Out our table, but everything came out in a timely fashion. I’ve been to the grand Tavern in Farmington several times, and I would say this is on par with that. Certainly nothing wrong with the place and I would go back again if I’m in the area. Just so you know, I rate three stars as average, exceptional as five stars."
"Fish and chips were a little bland, the fish specifically. But cooked perfectly. Beautiful puffy well crisped fish, not soggy, not greasy. The “tarter sauce” is not what I would want for a tarter sauce. Dill and Mayo? For some reason the coleslaw was just olive oil and sugar? Calamari was good, needs a little teeny bit of salt. Fries were great. The food seemed like they charge for portions more than they do flavor… if that makes sense… service is always pretty good here except getting the check and cashing out. Every time. Major pain point. Get the little QR codes on the receipt. Save your guests and your servers some time. They’re really running around! I not not everyone will use it but if 1/2 of the diners do you’re really helping everyone out."
"I had the California Cobb salad and to be honest the quaintly of the product did not seem fresh and new. From the picture the cheese has a whitish flake discoloration on it and the chicken tasted processed. Unfortunately I won’t be getting this again but was out with a group and the dishes they ordered were somewhat tasty and good. Possible return to try. Please use quality meat and fresh food."
"I really wish I can leave a 3.5 ⭐ review. Went there for happy hour and everything on the starters menu was half off. The good: chicken wings were done perfectly and tenderloin tips with mashed potatoes were pretty tasty but very dry (ordered medium). The bad: Calamari was very soggy and breading had no flavor. The nachos were the biggest waste of calories. Probably the worst nachos I've had in a long time. Our waiter was really nice and checked up on us multiple times. If I were to pay full price, this would've been a 2 ⭐ review. Will most likely not come here again."
