"Upon entering we noticed several folks waiting for tables at the door. We decided to sit and wait as well for the 25 minutes they quoted us. After being there over 30 minutes standing by the freezing cold door, my wife cannot take it any longer and goes to sit at the bar and at least to have a stiff drink to warm back up. So when 45 minutes goes by, my wife asks the hostess what the deal is because we noticed several parties being seated before us that clearly came in after us. The hostess replied "I didn't think you guys were waiting anymore". We weren't there for the brunch buffet or just for our health. We were there to order from the menu and have a good day. Unfortunately that didn't happen on this visit. Once we were finally seated the sweet as pie server, Chelsea explained how things worked with the buffet and all, which we didn't want. We decided to leave but Chelsea was nice enough to invite us back and request her since things didn't work out this particular day. The hostess could use a little more training I presume since she just took my phone number down and assumed the rest without even asking. *TIP*- You may want to turn down the music a bit because it's so difficult to talk to the staff and have any type of conversation in that place. My wife and I are really hoping the best for our next visit..."

"Possibly the best salmon I've had while sitting at a bar stool. The beer flight was nice and the bartender was patient and helped me pick them out. My friend loved his meatloaf and martini. All and all great place."

"A great brewery with upscale bar food. I have never been to Granite City before but have heard lots of good things. They Had a nice variety of beers which is nice, it's a shame when most of a breweries beers are so similar. It was also nice to see that they had guest taps also. Our server was really good. She knew the beers and food on the menu and was quick and super accommodating. Great service overall. The beers were really good and I found a few I might come back and get to go. The food was pretty good too. Jazzed up bar food, but honestly that's some of my favorite. Nothing pretentious, just classics done really well. ( Sandwiches, apps, burgers, wings, soups) all good. Prices were good too. Overall I recommend them and I know I'll be back."

"It was a really mixed experience. The food was good and bad. Some tasted really good, like the chicken and the barbeque shrimp. But the burger was burnt, and they had to recook my sirloin three times. First, it was totally umdercooked, then it was past well done. In the end, they made it to medium rare. We have been a group of 15 people and have been placed in a separate room. Unfortunately, nothing of the atmosphere of the main hall could be captured. Too bad, since it seems to be a nice atmosphere. But the service was excellent, 5 stars for the waitress."
