"Staff didn't greet us on arrival and weren't very welcoming initially. They also didn't tell us the bathrooms in the building were "closed for covid" when we set up the lessons. When you pay several hundred dollars, you should be able to use their indoor plumbing, just common business sense! The staff hands you equipment and never tells you how things should be sized, for example if you want to purchase things later. During the actual lesson, the instructor was very attentive with children so that earned some stars. But otherwise I felt like she didn't do a great job covering the basics. Luckily, we had read books about XC skiing and/or did some skiing in the past. Without those, you might not really grasp the idea by the lesson's end. Afterward you keep the rental equipment and can try out the trails all day, which is nice (tho you'll probably be too tired to ski much). Some other people had the lesson along with our group and they only went about 100 feet down the "real" trail before struggling and turning back to return the equipment. So, like I said, I don't think the ski school trains you well enough to be comfortable skiing. Supposedly they sell ski equipment, but that area looked closed off like the rest of the building. While I was in the market to buy some equipment, I didn't buy any partly due to that and partly due to their poor first impressions. Since they're the only place around to even offer lessons, I added the third star."
