"This place is fantastic! My partner and I live down the block and we hadn’t gone because it always looked pretty dead. However, we heard some rave reviews about the seafood so we had to give it a shot — and we were extremely impressed! Easily some of the best seafood I’ve had in GR, and honestly some of the best food I’ve had downtown period. If the place was busier I think it would have a livelier atmosphere, which is the only “complaint” I could have — this place needs to be on your radar!"

"Had a great experience at Beacon Bar! It's the little sister to San Chez! I had no idea! This restaurant has been open for 2 years and the food is on par to that of its counterpart. The price was very reasonable and the flavors were amazing! Our server Rese was very sweet and gave great recommendations! If you haven't been, add it to the top of your list! I can't wait to go back and try their boil!"

"Visited with my family from Iowa because I thought it would be a great experience! It was! Everyone enjoyed their food so much. I would only suggest that with 6 people sharing a seafood boil, that more vegetables are included in the meal. We got 2 delicious biscuits per person, but for vegetables we got 3 potatoes and 2 corn total when we ordered 5 proteins to share among 6 people. The server did advise to order 2 proteins per person if you are hungry, but we would have expected at least 1 corn and potatoes per person at least in our community dish. We asked for a little more and they brought some out so we all left with full bellies. Pictured is the 5 proteins we got for 6 people. Great service and would definitely recommend!"

"Could not be more satisfied with our visit! Thank you SO much Austin & Russ For taking such great care of us! They are a dynamic duo like no other! We ordered the Lillypad cocktail that is not on the menu, the perch, lobster roll, clam stuffing, a crab leg and the apple pie. The food & drinks are AMAZING! The staff was super amazing at answering all of my questions because I have quite a few rare food sensitivities. Never once did I feel like I was bothering them by asking a lot of questions. They were super helpful and had no issues asking the kitchen to confirm. The fries are hands-down the best that I’ve ever had, the crab and lobster were extremely buttery without even needing to add butter! It was very clear that the ingredients are high-quality! You definitely get what you pay for at this place! Amazing staff, atmosphere and food. We will definitely be returning!"
