"I love this school. I have a 5th grader that goes there and this is her second year at Deerfield. The teachers show concern for each and every child and they strive for excellence. I’ve never had an issue with the teachers and my child hasn’t had any issues with the other students."
"The school has a so so curriculum. Your better off homeschooling. However this school has severe bullying issues since becoming school of choice. From lunch staff towards students and student in student. For example your student will have their lunch thrown away finished or not for no valid reason before ANY bell rings! Students bullying students is tolerated. From death threats to physical assaults. This school does not follow the Michigan bully protocol! To ensure your child feels safe at school you basically have to babysit the school. PTA members can be found on social media appearing intoxicated repeatitively. Definitely not what I would want leading my child's school not to mention most are the bully staff in the lunchroom. Enforcement of discipline on non acceptable behavior of staff and students is NOT done. Very poor leadership at this school since Mr. Pagel left. Parents if you do homeschool, this school district per say of assistant superintendent does not promote advanced, gifted children! They would prefer to hold them back from thriving. They do not support extra curriculum activities for homeschoolers as their is not sufficient funding for this district. HSLDA should investigate this district as well. Be sure your child takes self defense class before attending here or any school in this district and have a lawyer ready. So happy we homeschool now!"
"Suppose to be school of choice I live in Rochester hills but can't register my daughter because I don't have a lease but if I lived in a different city I wouldn't need that paper work still trying to find a school in a different city for my daughter please if anyone has any suggestions"
