"They told us they had nothing but pieces of chicken because they didn’t want to cook anything on the spot besides chicken. They had no shrimp, and no buns for chicken sandwiches. While we waited for tenders, I have never seen anybody move more slowly and stand around and talk than the two working at the time. I watched them steer away tons of business because they didn’t want to cook anything additional for them. They didn’t have fries or most of the sauces I requested either. I am pretty sure it costs 2 times as much as normal too because it’s a truck stop off of the toll road. Whoever manages this place put these two in a terrible position. They didn’t offer very great service, but they also seemed to be doing the best they could under the circumstance of having nothing in stock to serve."

"This was the Popeyes at the Ernie Pyle stop on the Indiana Toll Road. Service at the counter was very slow and at least half of the items on the menu screen were not available. Some of the people waiting in line started ranting about being disrespected by the long wait and thought dropping some f-bombs would help. On the positive side, the chicken sandwich and fries were excellent. The chicken was juicy and hot and the fries were fresh and plentiful. Food was great and almost made up for the long wait."

"I've traveled across this corridor about a dozen times, and this Popeyes is consistently terrible. I do my best to avoid it, but sometimes there isn't any choice. Here's the worst experience I had at this one, still burned in my brain: Waited 45 minutes in a line of only about 6 orders just to get my order taken. Was told while trying to place the order that they were out of ALL FOOD except spicy chicken strips. No signs were put up to indicate this food shortage. This already felt like a bait and switch to screw over a captive audience. But a captive audience I was. Since I'd already waited so long and couldn't afford to waste any more time, I ordered the chicken strips with sauce. Somehow, even though there was only one thing on the menu they managed to get my order wrong and forgot the sauce. Amazing. Waited another 15 minutes at the counter to try to get the sauce from somebody (it was sitting right across) until I had to give up and reach across the counter myself to get it. Avoid this absolute joke of a food establishment. Less care could not be given if they were actively trying to be terrible. The experience with this one awful Popeyes has soured me on the whole franchise."

"Stopped in on the way through the state. Decided to get Popeyes and it was the worst decision. Got to the register and couldn’t even hear the girl at the register. She clearly hated her life and didn’t care mumbling with an attitude. Stated they only had bone in chicken the #4 combo. So we decided ok that’s fine I suppose. Then was told they didn’t have any sides other than mashed potatoes and green beans. To top it off we were told they didn’t have drinks as well. All employees seemed to be in horrible moods and extremely rude. The chicken was ok, mashed potatoes blah, and the biscuit tasted old. I’ll probably never come through here again but if I do I surely won’t be stopping. 1 star only because I can’t do 0. do better!"

"Awful food • dry chicken, old buscits, mashed potatoes were the only good things in regards to the food. It's fast food, at a rest stop nonetheless, I could have lived with mediocre food. The kicker was when at 430pm we were told there simply wasn't nothing whatsoever on the menu available besides "number fours", not even fountain drinks. Entire staff is not even slightly friendly or apologetic. In fact, they're downright rude. Hands down the worst pop eyes I've ever been, and the below 2.5 average (terrible on google) reflects absolutely what sort of store this is, on a regular basis. Needs shut down or totally revamped with staff that cares. Absolutely zero recommendations. Keep driving!"
