Yesterday's Food Spirits

"This place has been on many lists for the GREAT SCOTT BURGER and was on my list of places I wanted to try. It was one of those places where you check out everyone’s food as it goes by because everything smells delicious and looks fantastic! We stuck with the burgers we went for and they did not disappoint, two giant patties so I will be having my second burger for dinner at home tonight. Brought cheesecake home and they are huge and yummy. There were so many great dishes we are planning to go back next week and try something else. We sat at the bar and Carol is just awesome. Seems like a reservation would be a good idea if you want a table. We arrived just after opening and sat right down but there were people waiting when we left. They take their time so you enjoy your meal so don’t go here if you are in a hurry. I could just go on and on, this place is a must try."

"This is a unique little spot but we had some problems. We went for the 1st time for Valentine's Day, and I don't think we will go back. The server was super nice (although did not check on us at all after the food came and we were missing items ordered). The atmosphere was great (although they could do without the TVs playing sports - it just does not go with the eclectic atmosphere and music playing). My problem was they have no alternative for people with any allergies (especially dairy allergies , as butter is on almost all their items) and hardly any gluten free options. Therefore, all my high-end and pricey food was bland and very dried out. There was no taste. So, if you cannot use real butter, there is no sauces or seasonings available ? From my understanding they make everything from scratch. As I mentioned, they also forgot a steak topping I ordered, which is fine, but I asked if they were going to bring it and waiter apologized and said he would get it. I waited 20 more minutes because the item was to go with the very expensive steak (while my food got cold) and they never brought it out. The waiter was almost non-existent checking on us. Ended up eating half my meal and then just told them to take it off. The biggest problem was their menu price did not match the charge receipt. My husband did not want to complain, but it was over a $10 difference per meal?? I dont understand this. I have seen on other sites where others complained they do not show the correct prices. We only had 1 adult beverage and only 1 dessert and ended up paying $200 for 2 people (with standard tip). My husband loved his meal, but mine was pretty bad. They are also known for their desserts, but you cannot have even one if you have dairy or gluten allergies. I was told by the waiter there are NO OPTIONS for either. Im used to this, but most restaurants now have some kind of dessert options for vegans or gluten-free. They do not."

"Always love Carol's drinks and desserts, amazing service from Chris, and the food is fabulous... 30 years of going to Yesterday's without ever being disappointed. Love it!"

"Great food, decent service, and we really love the atmosphere, especially in the winter. A little bummed at the limited menu, and there was no dessert being served on a Saturday night, which was a bummer because it was also my birthday dinner. It's expensive, so be prepared to leave with a full stomach and empty wallet. There's also a surcharge if you pay with a card, which is really not cool."

"This is a cozy and very friendly atmosphere that is more slow paced and relaxed than most restaurants I've been to. It was certainly the most welcoming place I've been and I haven't even gotten to the food yet! The menu had been pared down a bit by COVID (we were helpfully informed by another patron that their portion sizes were large though) with an honest to God, giant silver dessert tray to tempt you along with some truly artistic cocktails!"
