"Had to change my review. It’s been 4 years now that my son has gone here and I guess if you’re looking for repetitiveness, this is the school for your kid. Same family projects every year, same boring events, absolutely no communication, and all they are worried about is their statistics. Oh yeah, and my child’s teacher quit in the middle of the school year without even saying goodbye to her students! I tried changing his teacher before the school year started because she wasn’t even there on meet the teacher night, due to a VACATION. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing since then. They told me all the other classes were filled and I wouldn’t be able to switch him. Now here we are in the middle of the school year (which is what I was trying to prevent) needing to learn a new teacher. I feel my child was completely robbed of an education this year due to the amount of un-organization and zero communication. Totally uncalled for and so unprofessional. Won’t be returning next year I hope."

"This school is horrible! So much racism, horrible kids and even teachers. The teachers are worst than the kids. They start drama and will talk about you right to your face. They make the kids turn on each other and that’s also funny because how are we supposed to be a “family” if the teachers do that. My daughter got suspended just because a white girl claimed that she stolen her cupcake after the white girl gave her the cupcake, but still believens the white girl. Now if it was the other way around there would be no problems. Just how they give all the white kids a warning, talk or a little consequence but oh no never the black kids they wanna just give it to them no talk or nothing. Just so many more things going on you can never imagine! A lot of the south point parents are taking there kids out of the schools just because of the nonsense. So do you really want your child to grow up in another Ypsi middle school?"

"Unfortunately the bullying situation here is true. My son hated this school because he was constantly harassed for being Mexican and a good kid rather than a thug. The bullies get treated with pity while the bullied get treated like liars. All the school admins care about is more ways to make more money. The teachers are great."

"This was my first year at south pointe scholars and many teachers are very disrespectful toward students. I also just got a new math teacher because my first one quit and it has lowered my grade significantly compared to when I had a temporary teacher. I would not recommend this school to anyone at all because I fell victim to this school by looking at “good” reviews."

"WOW! These comments concern me. I was in the process of applying for this school for the 2018-2019 school year since I recently moved near by, but after reading some of the comments I will pass. I have a young african american daughter who will be in the third grade. ALL kids have been known to bully and it doesn't matter if you are black, green, blue, white or brown. The fact that many of the comments single out the black student bully's and disregard other bully's concerns me. Comments like "Ghetto Black Kids" as if black kids are the only kids who cause trouble. I'm not going to deal with those labels and have my child singled out because of the color of her skin. NHA has a good curriculum and structure, I have always like their schools but these comments are horrible. I understand that people mostly comment on bad things or things based on their experience but this needs to be looked into. Also the fact that there is no consequence when the bullying takes place concerns me, don't these people read the news. Bullying comes in many forms, my child attends a public school currently and we don't deal with any of the issues I've read here. Sounds like the administration needs to get their head out of the sand and pay attention to what's going on under their nose. Finding a new school is difficult when you don't know the area. UGH!"
