"It is a typical chain restaurant. I've had good experiences and bad experiences at varying locations. This one is great 95% of the time. If you go during peak times, you might have a bit of a wait for food, but they check on you quite often. The wait staff is overworked and underpaid in my opinion. But this is at any restaurant really. But... do not hesitate to tip accordingly. I've had some not-so-great experiences in the past with servers who just didn't act like they wanted to be there, which I get, but... don't take it out on the customers if they're not being difficult to you in the first place. That being said... rude customers are absolutely horrible. Don't be "one of those" customers."

"I usually love this place. Our family eats here often and up until last summer had no issues. Recently, a server was extremely loud and rude to a another coworker who was also disabled. We talked with the manager. Friday night, they were slammed so we were totally patient and understanding however I saw several host and other workers just walking around while the server was busting her butt. Then tonight we order on door dash.. the pastas were completely dry and we got none of the things we paid extra for. It's disappointing to love a place and slowly watch it just not be a enjoyable place to dine. I hope it gets better."

"The burgers and fries were good. The table we sat at had a ceiling vent blowing cold air at us. This is ridiculous since it was only 22⁰ out. The waitress did not care and was disrespectful."

"We were "Eating Good in Our Neighborhood!" - While I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants, the Ionia Applebee's is always a "safe" bet when we are hungry and in town running errands. Our waitress Shyann was very helpful and brutally honest in my choice for dinner, steering me away from one of my choices. (Her opinion was appreciated and made my choice much easier to go with the Prime Rib Dipper. I was very happy with that... She stayed on top of our needs without being bothersome. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals!"
