Ju Sushi & Lounge

"Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Also no music in the restaurant which I found to be awkward. Got seated an hour after our scheduled reservations in the comfy lounge/couch area downstairs. People who walked in for a table after us ate and left before we even got a water. The waiter, who I assume was a manager acting as a waiter, was painfully slow- not checking on us for over 45 minutes. No water refills were given. I had to ask "has it been busy" to get any sort of explanation as to why our table wait was so long, to which she did not apologize, just said yes it was busy. I work in customer services so I understand gets busy. But our waitress provided absolutely terrible and SLOW SLOW SLOW service. Ordered the food which took a while, before she literally disappeared for TWO HOURS. I had to flag down a different waiter for a box, a check, and a pen to sign the check. She finally came back around to collect our plates and asked how everything was. The food was yummy and authentic, but not worth the price for the sizes. There was absolutely no explanation or apology given to us as to why WE waited so long for a table, water, or food. And by the time we left, they were sweeping and trying to close up, as we were one of the last ones there. The hostess was super sweet and doing her best. However, our experience with the waitress "taking care" of us was absolutely terrible. 0/10 won't be coming back ever. If you want to go to a delicious, HELPFUL asian restaurant, go to Maru Sushi and Grill."

"The edamame was well cooked. The crab Rangoon was nicely seasoned and creamy, the drink was nice and fruity, the 3 rolls we got were nicely prepared. Everything was great!"

"What a great experience. I was working out of town a couple days and didn't get a chance to eat for a day. I was able to sneak in 30 minutes to stop somewhere (a client recommended this place). I stopped in and let the bartender know I was in a hurry, asking what they had that could be made quickly and she made some recommendations. The dish was amazing, a good amount of food, and it came out quickly. The server actually made a point to get me my bill right away so I could dine and dash. Will definitely be back!"

"I have dinner here quite a few times and also ordered their food through delivery services. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered here. They offer lounge-type dining on the left side of the restaurant, and traditional dining on the right. I would only use the lounge side for more relaxed social dining. The space is nice but all the lounge tables are shorter than the chairs and couches. There is plenty of space on either side for group dining. In the middle to the left, they have a typical bar area and to the right, they have a bar area that can observe some of the chefs making rolls. The atmosphere feels fancy and upscale until you are seated and take a second to look around. The only issue I have with this place is most of their pleather/faux leather seating desperately needs to be reupholstered and the walls either cleaned or repainted in areas with stains. Many seats have material peeling, flaking, or flat-out missing. The place itself though, is very clean and the food is so amazing. I've eaten here many times and it's always delicious. I've had dinner here in large groups down to dining alone and I've never had any issues. Service has always been excellent as well, speedy and precise. Their Kani Kama Rangoons, Dumplings, and Chicken tempura are all great starters. I've enjoyed the dumplings most the last few times I've been in. The Miso and Wonton Soups they make are both very good. The rich flavors are not too salty too. Making this a big-time comfort food for me. I've had many of their classic and specialty rolls. My favorite recently is the Vegas Roll. It is coated in panko and then deep-fried. Making the outside delightfully crunchy and the insides rich and creamy. I've been told the Sirloin and Chicken Teriyaki entrées were both very good by my guests. My friends and family all love this as our go-to sushi place when they are visiting me. The excellent food and great service keep me coming back. Overall, I'd highly recommend JU for your lunch or dinner."

"Pretty good sushi. Squid was a bit more rubbery than I like it, and the rice wasn't very good at sticking together. Atmosphere is great, dim lighting that encourages conversation, acoustics that help it stay quiet, and there's a fair amount of space between tables. The servers are chill and helpful. Would recommend for a relaxing sushi outing."
