"i had seen and heard some mixed things about this place since its ownership change in 2018. big buck was always a fun stop as a kid, but now that i'm an adult with my own money, i want to make sure i stop at high quality places. well, let me tell you, readers, i don't know what happened for those other customers, but our experience was FANTASTIC. my group had a few different things from the menu, including the smoked wings, jalapeno popper dip, and (pictured here) the friday special fish n chips, as well as their draught root beer and black cherry soda. everything was WONDERFUL. service was incredibly attentive and kind. the food was PIPING HOT and VERY tasty. i was most impressed with their smoked wings, personally, which pair amazingly with their garlic parm sauce. i will say though that we got there early in the day, and we were probably one of three groups in the whole place before the lunch rush kicked in. so that may be why we didn't have to deal with extended wait times. i would definitely recommend going off peak for the best experience -- like we had! it's great to see that this place is still just as delicious as i remember. a well earned five stars and a big recommendation from me of you're ever up north. and don't forget to stop by the gift shop!"
"It's a nice looking place. We were seated right away, our server was awesome. Food was served within 30 minutes of ordering. The food was hot and delicious. The one complaint I have was the size of the perch fillets. They were small but cooked properly and tasted good. I'd have no problem recommending Big Buck to anyone and will definitely stop again on our next trip to the area."
"Big Buck has been around for a few decades. A couple of different owners. Currently they are producing the best beer they've ever had. Excellent Job. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Great Decor. Definitely worth a stop every year heading north."

"We have came here for years but service seems to be going downhill. Food is good but service is slow. Sometimes food comes out cold. On weekends they run out of menu items fast."
