"This place was once a favorite childhood memory for me while living in Ohio. My last visit, however will be just that. ♤ Not Dog Friendly♤ Friday August 2023, 11am first to arrive or so I thought. Heard amazing things about their sunflower field 2. Nothing states about dogs. Lady stated as long as i dont let her down and hold her she could come along. I don't know if I was late on coming to farm or this is what to expect. I have traveled all over USA, photographed so many beautiful fields of sunflowers. This was a disappointment. Parking was not clear. Signs state different directions and parking area states no parking? We were the only ones their for a Friday. Nice older folks with a fruit stand type building. You park, pay inside and walk quarter mile through mud to a weeded field with little teddy bear sunflowers. My husband could see my disappointment so we "cute" our sunflowers. You don't need anything they just break off. These are smaller sunflowers that just bend and break off. He took me to Kroger near by and purchases my beloved mammoth sunflowers. Bonus on the experience, I guess. *For those who are planning on going here wear muck shoes and No Dogs aloud. ♡For those who travel, 70 Kansas between junction city and Topeka."
"Thank you for hosting the MINIs of Cbus car club! The field was beautiful, and the location was great. Everybody enjoyed it more than I thought they would. Stopped by the market afterwards, and while the selection was small was still able to bring some delicious farm grown goodies home. The peaches were fantastic! Thanks again!"
"Cutest little farm! Have all the veggies (corn, cucumbers, blackberries, BIG tomatoes and grape tomatoes) flowers, a bakery and all of outside! Barn where they have a jungle gym of hay, sunflower field, corn maze and pumpkin patch! I went in early August and the sunflowers were beautiful! Go on a weekday to get the full experience!"
"Little to no organization. Two different entrances, signs were few and far between. The ones that were there pointed in the wrong direction (Corn Maze). The store leaves much to be desired. The wagon ride was super long (good thing) and $5/pumpkin was worth it. Kids had a lot of fun in the barn on the slides. Unfortunately, with a stroller, I couldn't join them due to the whole barn being one layer of straw high. Meaning, you're walking on straw. Strollers and the elderly beware. Also, couldn't find any hot apple cider. Again, may have had it - but signs are very lacking. Prices were crazy high ($11 to get in - for everyone). Plus the $5 for the wagon ride. Spent $64 for 4 of us. The kids played while one of us stood by the barn and the other went in. Never found the corn maze...? And the "Petting Zoo" was one sleeping goat behind a locked gate. All-in-all... I'd rather check out the one on 42 in Plain City. I think it's called "The Orchard". Better prices, better fun for the kids, and adults don't pay."
"This was a fun outing for the kids. They loved the hay ride, the bales of hay to jump on, the barn which had a hay playground with slides. I enjoyed taking pictures and picking pumpkins. The donuts are delicious. I found the setup however a little confusing and there were no signs or ppl to ask. There are two doors and admission booths so if you are with a group make sure you know which one. The prices for a group or individual are very different so make sure to specify when you pay. The petting zoo was fenced and there was no one around to let us in. The store is very messy. I think a nice antique corner would be interesting. I also recommend wearing pants bc the hay is actually quite scratchy. I also recommend filling up gas somewhere else, nearby gas stations were 20 cents more than elsewhere. Also recommend wipes for the pumpkins and your hands. Overall I recommend it as a trip, especially ages 4-8."
