"TLDR: Went to the plant auction, auctioneer was a brute, Darby Creek made it right. The auction itself was fantastic, I probably got about $5k of retail plants for about $1.5k. 25 total ranging from 2-4" caliper and 4-12ft. The plants were all great quality, most had a wire frame and were burlapped in some fashion with pea gravel medium. They said if any of these died, they'd still make it right so I may add a note next year if anything doesn't make it. I was a little disappointed they didn't do more to stand up for me as a customer when this auctioneer (Geoff Smith) went from hard to insulting. I stopped talking to him and flatly asked Darby's team how they wanted to handle this and at that point, they vindicated me. As far as the pickup, the staff did all the loading very skillfully and were very helpful. I'll be a customer at their new location too."

"At first they were fantastic! They knew what they were talking about! Then, it was chaotic. Before I left the nursery I made a appt, per the salespersons advice. I was also told to email all pictures that I could from every angle and give measurements and details of what I wanted. I had already taken all the pictures prior to going there so I emailed as soon as I got home. Within that email I gave precise details of what we needed, what type of plants I liked, I attached all the pictures I took at their place, I went there to research. I ask a lot of questions so I know what to expect and how things work. I am very organized. They didn’t tell me they would meet me at my house so I drove all the way out there, 20 minutes, to meet him about my plan. No one ever told me he would meet me at my home. I told them I’d go straight home. I also told them my husband was available and at home. The guy was late. When he finally showed up we talked for a while. I explained what I wanted. He gave me advice. He asked me to give him about a weeks time to get a plan together. I waited about two weeks never heard from him so I went ahead and emailed. I knew he was having knee surgery. However, you don’t tell someone give me a week and I’ll get back to you and then never get back. After another two weeks went by I emailed again asking if he’s ever received the email. I know it was the right email I double checked it, I never heard back. They came out in the beginning of June. By July I still hadn’t heard from them. I even tried leaving a voicemail. Nothing. We decided that we would not use them, clearly they were not reliable. Today is August 9, I just got a voicemail from them stating that he still is recovering from knee surgery. They wanted me to call back to let them know what we decided. Seriously?!?! This company doesn’t check their emails, doesn’t return phone calls, and doesn’t care about business. If you have a person out of the office, that is a main contact for business, you should arrange for someone to cover your job! We have a very large front bed and side yard, that we wanted to redo completely. I would highly recommend going to another company."

"Awesome nursery with a huge selection of plants. I saw on the morning news that the nursery is moving, so I checked out there marked down plant’s, shrubs, and trees. Evergreens ate half off. Great selection of arborvitae’s, but they were larger than I needed (balled). Some perennials are fifty percent of, but most are still full price. Great staffing. Someone was available to help us within minutes of our arrival. She was knowledgeable, and full of suggestions. Loved her."

"Jeff came out and quoted me $4,000 to mulch and clean up my entire property (1/4 acre). Thought it was a bit much, but I accepted and signed the proposal. Has ghosted us since and won't reply. ***UPDATE: After attempting to pay the deposit and our emails went ignored for a week, we decided to go with a better outfit that quoted less than HALF the price Jeff quoted me. Most importantly, they have been responsive."

"A little on the pricey side but generally good quality on annuals and tropicals. House plants are usually iffy after a while but if you get them fresh off the truck you might find some pretty specimens! We visit here at least once per week in the spring. Staff is generally helpful and welcoming."
