"I don't usually leave reviews. But this was a unique experience and I think it's worth mentioning. I am a new customer to DHL and I am not a business. Based on the website I was under the impression that when I sent gifts I could pay customs in advance so the recipient wouldn't have to pay money to receive gifts. The website failed to mention that if the items are wrapped they will have to open them for a security check. So when I was told that I couldn't pay for customs in advance and that all my lovingly wrapped gifts and cards were going to be cut open I was really upset. I try hard not to take things out on employees because they have no control over the situation and are doing their best. Unfortunately I was more rude than is acceptable. In the end we were able to get everything worked out and I learned how to prepare for the future to avoid these issues. The rep I worked with was Adriana R. I think, was hard to read the name tag. I want to mention that she did an excellent job. She was able to diffuse the situation, asked for help from a manager when she needed it, and provided quality service. If her manager happens to see this please give her praise for a job well done."
