Schilling Propane

"Amazingly bad service. Just unbelievable. There are better companies, seek them out. We are switching. In the summer I prepaid for winter propane. While the check was in the mail I called to order a summer fill. The girl REFUSED to take my order and card payment for the summer fill until the check cleared for the winter order. I specifically asked "so you're not going to take my payment and fill the order?" Answer "no we won't ". I've never been a problem customer always pre paid. Never ran out. Not to mention the time the delivery man was yelling curse words during filling our tank. It must be a miserable company to work for because he potty mouthed our whole neighborhood. I called the company and they didn't give a rats tail about the drivers behavior."

"Price 3x cheaper than Amerigas. And after I signed up for a lease, I was expecting the price to rise, but it stayed exactly where I was quoted. Install of a new lease tank was fast and easy, and very reasonably priced. So glad I switched, I felt like I was being extorted by Amerigas."

"Absolutely horrible and rude staff! After explaining to them that I need them to call when on there way as I would have to unlock the gate for them to get to my propane tank. The driver took it upon himself to break the hinge on my gate and fill my tank. When I called this afternoon, after getting home and finding the broken hing, the reception told me the drive would have never done that and there's nothing they could do! It was not an expensive break,its the principle of it!"

"Horrible customer service. They tried to charge me a low usage fee of $50 . I have been with them for 8 years and was never told of any fee from the day I started using them. They knew that the tank was just for my fireplace. I tried to work with them and prepay 50 gallons which is the minimum they want you to buy each year. They were rude and would not try to resolve the issue. They tried to change the rules in the middle of the game. Customer service told me they own the company and can do whatever they want to customers. I agreed they can but not with me as a customer. Told them to pick up their tank and pound salt on the $50 fee. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with . Stay away. Update 7/5/19. The response from the company to my post did not address the fact they changed the rules after 8 years. Their response is a joke just like the company. Also about the attitude that we own the company and can do whatever they want to customers. I now have a new company and they were shocked how bad Schilling's install was. One major safety mistake they did was not set the regulator or check the system. Just took the regulator out of the box and put it on. They cut corners as well as treat you horrible. Their tank is still on my property after I called them many days ago. They said do not worry about it exploding due to fireworks ect. The point is if they pick up the tank like they are supposed to I will not have any concerns about the tank. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Save the headaches and run."

"I've been with Schilling for many years. There was a couple of times that I could not pay my bill, because of lack of funds at the time. Or waiting on some money that was own me. I called and told them what was going on. They were so understanding as long as I kept them up to date about what was happening, they did not harass me for payment nothing! I have never dealt with a rude person there ever. I'm not talking about a couple days late but months. So they are not about the money. In my book that company did not have to give me time to be able to pay the bill they had every right to demand it. I am forever grateful for their kindness and understanding. Thank You Schilling Family for being there for me when I need it."
