"Staff has always been helpful in making sure I stay on the road User Nancy Petru I have purchased a numbed of bikes from Eddy’s but my best purchase has been my e-bike. After 1535 miles the tread was gone and I had been riding in sandy conditions on unpaved roads. I needed a new gear shift. I just had enjoyed my bike to the point of almost abuse going wherever and whenever I wanted. Just got a like-new bike back after my investment in a thorough repair. It feels the way you feel when you get a new car after driving an old one."

"I know in this day and time anything you want is available on line, including bikes. For many it's easy to click on what you want and have it delivered directly to your door step. Bikes are no different. Yes, there will be some assembly required. If you are mechanically inclined this won't be hard. But did you order the correct frame size? What do you do if there are problems? That's why I like a local dealer. In NE Ohio there are a number of reputable bike dealers who carry the major brands; Trek, Specialized, Giant, GT, etc. I have been buying bikes from Eddys Bike Shop in Stow. OH, located at the corner of Darrow and Graham Rd. since my 1st purchase in 1985 when they were in what I believe was their original location. Eddys has been in business since 1940. They now have 4 locations in NE Ohio; Stow, Akron, North Olmsted, and Willoughby Hills. I have always dealt with the store in Stow. It is spacious, clean, and well stocked with every type of bike and accessory a bike rider could ask for. Someone is always available to help you. My most recent purchase is a Trek Dual Sport 3 Gen 5. It's an urban/adventure bike suitable for road, gravel, and trail riding. It is replacing a Specialized Tri Cross road bike I bought at Eddys in 2010 and a Trek 4300 mtn bike I bought at Eddys in 2007. I dealt with Steve (who is now retired) and Chris. I took a half hour demo ride back in late November on a warm Sunday. I thought I needed a medium frame, Chris thought a large would be a better fit. I liked everything about the bike, especially the carbon forks and the way they absorbed road bumps without the added weight of shock forks. The handling was light and responsive with out being twitchy. I've never had the balance to ride without having my hands on the bars but not a problem with this bike. It rides on wider 27.5 rims and tires. It has hyd disc brakes front and rear, flat bars, a single 40 tooth sprocket on the crank, and a 10 sprocket cassette on the rear. It's set up to handle frame mounted racks and bags for bikehiking and multiday trips. My plan is to ride the many hike and bike trails across the US. When I picked up my bike on Sunday I also bought a Cateye cycling computer, a cell phone holder, a Giro helmet (my old one is 10+ years old) and a set of knobbies for winter riding. We did a quick fit check to make sure the seat and bars were in the right for me. They can do a more comprehensive fit by mounting your bike on a wind trainer for those of you who don't have experience setting up your optimum riding position, which will make a huge difference in the enjoyment of you will have with your new bike. This ended up being a review of Eddys and the Trek Dual Sport 3 Gen 5. Both are outstanding! In addition you receive assembly, one year of adjustments as you break in your bike, and 10% off accessories when you purchase your bike. I have never hesitated to recommend Eddys to anyone looking for a new bike."

"Huge thanks to Tristen for helping me find the perfect mtb and helping me seal the deal on an awesome pivot trail 429. He is extremely knowledgeable and set the suspension up perfect for me. This is the 4th bike I’ve bought from here and it’s always a great experience."

"Had a great experience at Eddy’s today. Went in looking for a road bike for casual rides and my salesman Thomas was great. He was very easy going and helpful. Never did I feel rushed into my purchase and he wasn’t pushy at all. I wanted a different/more comfortable seat and he knew what was a perfect fit. Was the easiest purchase from start to finish. I would highly recommend!"
