"My husband has been a customer for about 8 years or so-I was added to accounts to make sure I could discuss concerns since his work hours and shifts varied. Staff can be friendly & human. We have had issues as others before us reviewed that can be deemed unfair banking practices and is frankly illegal. Processing items specifically out of order knowing when auto payments come out is deliberate. When fraud activity happens, you are basically on your own. Unable to use the 'card valet' app as well as their own app for account access is absurd and frustrating. Fees upon fees and regardless who is at fault or not, ones family is made to suck up losing money repeatedly. Like, without these ridiculous ISF fees, the one supposed to have been adjusted WEEKS ago, (9/22/23) our account wouldn't have yet again been in the negative with 2 more added on. PLEASE- don't have a death in your immediate family, nor unexpected severe issues medically; especially back to back, causing loss of income to boot. Even with balancing a budget, and taking out a loan, its for naught. With technology failing customers, as well as humans, I would advise you to change financial institutions. There are class actions in preliminary preparation for shady unfair lending/banking concerns. Look into them as deadlines are approaching. And these issues happened with EVERY branch in town FYI ... Even with reps admittedly showing concerns due to their own mistakes, and being 'gracious' as to attempting to 'fix' mistakes of reversing fees, re-depositing money not given correctly in person, (its on hold) an account that should've been $16.61 to the good, $26.61 with pending $10 owed from cash, still was -$3.39? (Due to yet another $30 ISF) SMH I grabbed $4 out our car that husband left me this morning, and ran back in to deposit (even tho payroll pending deposit and posts tonight) so not to incur more fees somehow, even with customer service rep reassuring me that wouldn't happen. Then I went directly to another bank that I personally have an account at to help aid with information needed to start transfer of monies deposited and auto pay accounts. Husband and I will be at Champion Credit Union upon opening in the AM to start closing of both accounts tomorrow, or ASAP once all business is completed to avoid anymore unnecessary fees for all pending transactions to be covered in meantime. (Since can take 1-3 weeks on average for all to be completed) Maybe we will keep open after transfers are done to make sure that any proof needed for potential class action will still be available...either way we are done with this company. Even if all was 'fixed',- this credit union isn't for us. Too much stress & hassle while dealing with life's uncertainties at the moment. I mean, how is one gonna ask if I still want a fee reversal, after all this mess, knowing there is another yet outstanding? You still stealing his paycheck! Earned, hard worked OT, attempting to make up for time missed for grieving, funeral services, and my own urgent, unpredictable immediate medical needs. ALL for nothing. Ludicrous if you ask me. One recent reviewer stated he was customer for over 20 YEARS, and they 'TARGET' poor folks. I have to agree with that as it fits our situation and circumstances. Basically $100 in less than a month profit from 'mistakes' etc ... Just this instance. I know we arent alone. Have receipts, names, dates, locations, actions taken/not taken, etc. 10/05/2023 Brande Bauer"

"This credit union is the worst. Hidden interest rates on my loan which was not explained to me when I signed is absolutely screwing me. I will never come here ever again when this loan is paid for. I'd advise you to look elsewhere as well."

"After banking with this company for over 20 years, I can finally say I am done with them. They will steal your money, I’ve had numerous transfers on a loan done without my permission, and they will lock you out of your own account if you are ever late on a loan payment. They stay in business by stealing money and charging fees to specifically poor people. I can’t tell you how many panic attacks I’ve had at the gas pump or in line to get groceries because the bank either froze my card or took all of my money. I was once charged $120 in overdraft fees for a $19 autopay that went through the day before payday. And when I asked them to remove the fees because my account was no longer negative the next day, they spoke down to me and told me I was irresponsible and that they are unable to remove those fees, which I know is not entirely true. They operate under very suspicious circumstances and I feel like a weight is off my shoulders now that I’m established with a new credit union. If I could rate them lower, I would. Theft is most certainly deserving of a rating lower than one star."

"As a young adult, I really appreciate how clear and helpful the staff is-- the intricacies of finances are rarely taught in school, and I'm of the firm belief that I would be worse off had I turned to a bank rather than CCU. Not having to go anywhere to deposit checks is the cherry on top!"

"I think it's terribly rude to not have anyone in the lobby and a person comes in for a simple cashier's check and have to wait 28 minutes. The person that handled my transaction was a trainee obviously. She had a another employee standing over her the entire time she was doing my transaction. Did anyone stop to think that I might have something to do and might not have that type of time to invest in her career. I certainly hope she learned something from that transaction I certainly did. Because I was late for work because of it."
