"Poor customer service and unprofessional with helping said customers. Some tellers are very judgmental and have a snobby attitude with the way they handle things and treat people."

"First you buy up our small local bank. Then you close all the locations execpt one. Its been a joke since Berne took over. Your rates are trash. The only reason I stuck around is because I was too lazy to redo all my automatic payments I had going through my check. Thanks for killing our small bank, firing all beloved tellers then leaving us high and dry."

"How about this one...missionaries in Guatemala had a CD account here since 1993. At the time the bank supposedly sent out renewal notices for the CD, physical mail had completely stopped to Guatemala, and is still not available. The CD renewal notice never arrived. The CD would not have been renewed at the time of maturity. Called and spoke with the bank, including the president Kent Liechty multiple times. This year the account was apparently earning 0.5% for a 3yr CD. In one year it would earn $65 The penalty? 5% FIVE PERCENT!! TEN YEARS worth of interest. The bank ABSOLUTELY refused to waive or decrease the penalty. Customers beware , this is how the First Bank of Berne treats their customers. Especially missionaries. Don't walk, RUN AWAY! The entire Nussbaum family and Berne as a whole should stop doing business with these heartless, uncompassionate, cold-hearted human beings."
