"I have an older John Deere 318 lawn tractor that was leaking oil. I went to the counter at Voss Brothers and asked if they would work on this and was told yes and the fee would be $85 to pick it up 5 miles away. They picked it up and I didn't hear from them for 10 days, so I called. I was told that the engine had low compression in both cylinders and would need to be rebuilt or replaced and they were not capable of doing the work. They wanted $213 to tell me that my tractor was junk. I complained about the price and they came down to $185. I found a guy 2 hours away who works on older John Deere tractors. I took it to him and told him what Voss Brothers told me. He checked the compression while I stood there and said it was fine. He looked at the engine and said it needed a new oil bracket gasket and he would have to pull the engine to change it. A few days later he texted me that my tractor is fixed and the total cost is $205. Less that what Voss Brothers wanted to lie to me that my tractor is beyond repair. They just lost a customer!"

"I set my expectations pretty low more and more frequently; I think we all do. But I was blown away by the service at Voss Bros by Steve, who not only diagnosed my issue, but suggested a couple of solutions. Hats off! Yu are the man"

"Only ever bought units and parts here and never had a problem. Even when they didn't have it they were able to order it in for me, including for some brands they don't normally carry. They might be a bit more expensive than online but I feel I'm getting a quality part here than the unknown stuff on the internet."

"I bought a grass collector for my John Deere mower from Voss Brothers this past spring. Despite being appropriately I stalled, the device does not work. It turns out that it will only collect grass if it is under a certain height and bone dry, conditions which exist only a few weeks out of the mowing season in Ohio. This was never communicated to me prior to purchasing the item, and the guys at Voss probably weren’t even aware that there was an issue with that specific item. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on that. What I am disappointed about is the customer service after I brought the problem to their attention. At first I was told that there was nothing they could do, then I was punted to John Deere who punted me right back to Voss Brothers. From there I was promised that the issue would be brought to the attention of the general manager. I called back 6 times and spoke to two different guys. I never received a call back from the GM. I now have an $800 piece of plastic on my mower that doesn’t collect grass. John Deere isn’t standing behind their product, and Voss Brothers decided to play dead in hopes I would just move on and forget about it. Truly disappointed with the experience with these guys and the waste of money."
