"Great place to get your lumber. Supper helpful, competitive pricing, and great service. Blows HD and L away for their service. Needed some lumber for a deck and HD wanted 2 weeks to deliver, L was over a week, Carter had it to me the next morning."

"Me and my husband walked in to the Solon store and there were six employees all lounging about the showroom on their cell phones. I am going to be purchasing cabinets in the next week they looked very disinterested in my business. The one woman said she could help me if I was installing myself but if I was going to use a contractor they may want to use another supplier. I am a general contractor and have people I can choose but the 'qualifying" dhe attempted came off rude and arrogant and one of the other women laughed at the situation. I was honestly speechless so we walked out. I used Carter Lumber in Medina OH a decade ago and they were amazing. Unfortunately Carter Lumber Solon will not see any of my money ever. Response to Carter Lumber's reply. Thank you for responding, we were ready to purchase that day and we did from a website that was extremely helpful. Unfortunately for the Solon Carter Lumber, we are all set with our cabinets and countertop deposit paid. Please for the future teach your employees to not sit in a gang on their phones and qualify customers upon entering the showroom."

"Sales person over estimated materials for a deck and refused to accept the return of unused and unopened material. For example, estimated 7 cedar lattice for a deck and only 2 were required. I have over $600 in unused material that cannot be returned I will never patronize this store again. I asked up front when ordering material if excess material can be returned and was told "Yes"."

"Service staff over the phone were rude and impolite. The gentleman actually hung up on me.Need to understand who the customer is and that without them they don’t have a job"

"A solid lumber distribution store that focuses on contractors and the construction industry. Home owners can find excellent cedar and quality wood products. I appreciate the tongue & groove porch floor that comes already primed. Loading a small truck or van can be a challenge as the yard focuses on filling larger orders, but the lumber yard personnel are helpful enough."
