"Quick and friendly service, but "garden soil" I ordered last year was anything but garden soil ... used the soil to make vegetable garden and add to existing flower beds, and wherever I put that stuff, plants were smaller and leaves were more yellow. I amended the soil this year with organic compost and peat moss, and it is still not doing as well as the beds with no soil from Mccallisters. It was expensive too, with such little return on investment. I feel like I was cheated because the "soil" seemed like screened top soil, very little organic stuff in it. Whatever the reason, plants suffered much because I used this stuff and it really hurt my growing season, this year and last. People are very nice here though, and it is a good place to order other landscaping needs, such as driveway gravel or river rock."
