"My first thought is: epitome of “last minute” work. I brought my dress to, Stitch in Time on 105 Vine street in Archbold, Ohio on July 23, 2021. I told the seamstress that I would be in town until July 30, but then I would be out of town for two weeks starting July 31. I explained that I would at the latest pick up the dress August 18 unless she called between July 24 and July 30. I called at 8AM and left a message August 16, 2021 to find out if the dress had been altered and if I could pick it up. She called me back and left a message stating that I told her I would pick up the dress August 18, 2021 at 4. Yes, on July 23, I told her that was the latest date and time that I could get it. Unfortunately, I was under the impression that she would call me by July 30th. No big deal, it was probably my misunderstanding. But when I arrived at the business to pick up the dress she continued to tell me that she had to hurry up and get the alterations done because and I quote, “You told me August 18, 2021”. “You told me August 18, 2021.” (To her friend), “She told me August 18, 2021”. Okay, wow, my plans changed I have things to help my daughter (bride) with. I dropped off the dress 24 days ago…. The alterations are satisfactory. With my 4-H sewing experience, I could have done equally as good if I had a working sewing machine. What she charged was much less than I was expecting. Overall, I am neither happy nor disappointed with the quality of her work, but the customer service experience was iffy. Individuals who don’t mind last minute work and who can handle the grating that follows a change in plans, will appreciate the low cost."
