"Not recommended! We had just moved into a new home and were looking for a handy man to help with some miscellaneous jobs. A friend had recommended this company so we gave them a shot. Jim came out and looked at what needed to be done. He was friendly and gave a very reasonable quote, so we decided to go with them. Unfortunately that was a big mistake. Of the 6 jobs they worked on, only 2 of their fixes actually worked. A VERY troubling situation occurred when we overheard one of their workers making fun of our son's stutter. This is the type of thing you expect from kids but not a grown man. When we confronted him, he apologized. We informed Jim of his employee's behavior and he also apologized, but needless to say the professionalism here was very lacking. One of the jobs we had them do was patch some grout cracks in our shower. Within days, the grout they applied essentially washed off. We had them back out and their solution was to caulk over the cracks. As you can expect, that fix lasted for about 3 showers and then the caulk started falling off. I ended up having to research how to patch grout and do it myself. I learned that the amount of water mixed in when preparing the grout is key, so it is likely they did not add the right amount of water in their mix. Another important job was to fix a leaky set of french doors. There is a gap in the weather stripping underneath allowing water and insects to easily come in. Their solution for the weather stripping was to stick a few of those $1 adhesive corner wedges under the door. These fell off after a few uses of the door. Jim sent one of his guys back out to look at it but, essentially, he didn't seem to know what to do. They claimed they would consult with their "door guy" and get back to me. After not hearing back, Jim no longer answers my calls or messages. Our experience has shown that this company lacks professionalism, talent, and does not care about customer satisfaction. If you need a handy man, there are plenty of others that will do better work and care more about their customers."
"It was truly a pleasure to work with Jim at Hauser Handyman. I just had them install pest vent guards on four exterior vents. Jim got back to me right away and was available to do the job within a week. His worker showed up right on time, was very nice, and got them job done in a very reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend for any job!"
